About Me

     Hailing from the most beautiful Caribbean island, Saint Lucia, I am Vernelle K. Alphonse-Cerry 艾欣, a student of National Chung Cheng University's 國立中正大學 ELMD department. As an educator by profession, for the past twenty-one years, I have been dedicated to fostering student growth and engagement through innovative teaching methods. My passion for language learning and educational leadership has driven me to explore technology-enhanced instruction to equip students with the skills they need to thrive in an ever-evolving technological world. 

  This journey has become even more personal as my 9-year-old son, who is deeply fascinated by both languages and technology, inspires me daily. Being at a prime age for language acquisition, he motivates me to harness the power of AI tools not only to support his multilingual learning in engaging and meaningful ways but also to enrich the learning experiences of my students. By integrating AI into my teaching practice, I aim to make language learning more interactive, accessible and relevant for all learners.
