1. Introduction

Chromverter (“we,” “our,” or “the App”) is a local video conversion and optimization tool designed to help users prepare videos for social media platforms. We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring transparency about how information is handled when you use the App. This Privacy Policy explains what data we access, how it is used, and the limited circumstances under which third parties may receive information.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Local Video Data (Processed on Your Device)

• Chromverter processes your video files entirely on your device.

• We do not upload, transmit, store, or analyze your video content on external servers.

• If your device uses cloud‑connected storage (e.g., Google Drive, iCloud, OneDrive), the App interacts only with files already synced to your device. Any cloud syncing is controlled by your device or OS provider.

2.2 User‑Initiated Sharing

If you choose to export or share a processed video to another app, that action is initiated and controlled by you. Chromverter does not track or store the content you share.

2.3 Device Identifiers for Advertising

To support the free version of the App, we use Google AdMob. AdMob may automatically collect:

• Advertising ID

• Device type and model

• App usage data related to ad performance

• Technical information required to serve ads

We do not have access to or control over the data collected by Google AdMob.

3. Permissions

3.1 Storage / Media Access

Used to select videos for conversion and save optimized videos back to your device.

3.2 Internet Access

Used only to load and display advertisements through Google AdMob.

Chromverter does not use your internet connection to upload or transmit video files.

4. Third‑Party Services

We use Google AdMob for monetization. Google may use your device’s advertising ID, cookies, and similar technologies to personalize ads. For more information, please review Google’s Privacy & Terms.

5. Data Retention

• Chromverter does not collect or store personal data, video files, or usage logs on our servers.

• Any data processed by the App remains on your device unless you choose to share it.

• Third‑party advertising partners may retain data according to their own policies.

6. Children’s Privacy

Chromverter is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us.

7. Security

Because Chromverter does not collect or store your video files or personal data, security protections are provided by your device’s operating system. We recommend keeping your device updated and secured.

8. Future Technologies and Changes

If future platform updates, APIs, or advertising technologies change how data is accessed or processed, we will update this Privacy Policy accordingly. We will not introduce new data collection practices without notifying users.

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last Updated” date reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the App after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

11. Data Deletion & User Rights

Chromverter operates on a "Zero-Server" architecture; we do not maintain user accounts or store personal data on our own infrastructure. Therefore, we do not have a centralized database from which to delete user profiles. However, users have full control over the data generated by the App’s third-party integrations:

• Advertising Data & Identifiers: You can delete or reset the Advertising ID collected by Google AdMob at any time through your device settings: Settings > Privacy > Ads > Delete Advertising ID. This effectively disassociates your device from previously collected advertising data.

• Local App Data: To purge all locally cached video fragments, temporary processing files, and diagnostic logs from your device, navigate to: Settings > Apps > Chromverter > Storage > Clear Data (or "Clear Cache").

• Requesting Deletion: Since we do not collect your name, email, or videos, there is no "account" to delete. For any inquiries regarding how third-party SDKs handle your device information, you may contact us at the email provided in Section 10.
