Welcome to ChromaColour ("we", "our", "us"). We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting it. This Privacy Policy explains how our mobile application handles your data, what information we collect, and how we protect it when you use our app.
ChromaColour relies on your device's camera to provide its core features, including Virtual Try-On, Face Shape Detection, and Skin Tone Analysis.
Our Absolute Guarantee on Facial Data:
100% Local Processing: All facial architecture mapping, skin tone analysis, and image processing occur entirely locally on your device using on-device Machine Learning (Google ML Kit and MediaPipe).
No Image Collection: We DO NOT collect, save, or store any photos or video feeds from your camera.
No Cloud Biometrics: We DO NOT upload, transmit, share, or sell any of your biometric data, facial scans, or camera feed to our servers or any third-party servers.
Local Storage: Any generated DNA Reports, style preferences, and color palettes are saved locally in the app's database on your device.
By using ChromaColour and granting the Camera permission, you consent to the local processing of your facial features for the sole purpose of color and style recommendations. You may revoke camera access at any time through your device settings, though the app's Virtual Try-On features will cease to function.
While your sensitive facial data and photos never leave your device, we do use industry-standard third-party services (provided by Google) to help us maintain and improve the app:
App Telemetry & Crash Logs (Firebase Analytics): To help us find bugs and improve app performance, we may collect anonymous, non-personally identifiable usage data (such as screen views, session durations, and crash reports). You can opt out of this data collection at any time by toggling off "Share Anonymous Usage Data" in the app's Privacy & Analytics settings.
User Feedback (Firebase Firestore): If you voluntarily choose to submit feedback through our in-app form, the text you type (along with the category and your app version) is securely transmitted to our database so we can read your suggestions. No photos or identifying information are attached to this feedback.
App Ratings: We use the Google Play In-App Review API to occasionally ask if you would like to rate our app.
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to secure your data. Because your photos and biometric data never leave your device, they are inherently protected by your device's own operating system security (such as your passcode or fingerprint lock).
Our application is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have inadvertently received personal information from a child under 13, we will delete such information from our records.
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in technology, legal requirements, or our operations. Any updates will be posted on this page with a revised "Last Updated" date. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically.
