The only 2 issues that would have to be mitigated are firmware update issues and user destruction to the device. For firmware updating, all updates will be done over usb on a computer. Clear instructions will be given to the user to ensure that the updates go smoothly and the process itself will be made as simple as possible. Should the firmware get corrupted or damaged in someway, the same process could be used to reinstall or repair it. While it is tempting to make the case hard to open up to prevent users from damaging the internals, I believe it should be a simple process to allow users and technicians to easily repair their own devices should they become damaged or even make modifications that may suit the functionality of the synth more to the liking of the user.
