Hi! I'm Chris — an empirical economist with a strong belief in the power of evidence-based decision-making. My research draws on large-scale field experiments (RCTs) and lab studies to explore topics in public economics and management. I'm particularly interested in how social norms, identity, and reputational concerns shape individual behavior in socially and ethically relevant contexts.

Beyond academic research, I am passionate about science communication and committed to bridging the gap between research and policymaking. I believe that robust evidence should play a central role in public debate and political decisions.

The Leibniz Association connects 96 independent research institutions that range in focus from natural, engineering and environmental sciences to economics, spatial and social sciences and the humanities. Leibniz Institutes address issues of social, economic and ecological relevance.
