Christopher (Chris) Szolyga has a 12-year career in higher education, working for multiple universities ranging from adult learners to traditional students in career services and teaching. He is currently employed at Carthage College as the director of external relations and community engagement. I help students find meaningful employment by working with national and local employers from Google to Inpro.
Born and raised in southeastern Wisconsin, and has been a resident of Muskego for the last 10 years. My wife, Nicole, and I have been married for 12 years with two children. Our oldest son, Colton, is a second grader, our youngest, Cayden, is a kindergartener, and Avry Burback (niece) is a fourth grader, all at Bay Lane Elementary School as well, and my other niece, Mikayla Burback, is a freshman at Muskego High School.
I have achieved a Bachelor's Degree in Communications from Marquette University and a Master's in Business Administration with a concentration in Data Analytics from Herzing University.
I volunteer as a baseball coach and help train umpires for the Muskego Athletic Association. I also volunteer with Pack 176 Boy Scouts of America in Muskego, and I have a community servant's heart. Currently, I serve as a Board Member of the Youth as a Resource for the Kenosha School District and as a Career Ambassador for the Kenosha Chamber of Commerce.
With a deep understanding of the Muskego community's unique needs, I'm committed to transparent decision-making, responsible budgeting, and ensuring that the voices of parents, teachers, and students are heard. I believe in creating a collaborative environment where everyone can contribute to the success of local schools.
