My book is available on Amazon, Everyday Cybersecurity: A practical approach to understanding cybersecurity, security awareness, and protecting your personal information and identity.

It was written for those who want to be more secure, but don't have a strong technical background.
As I worked through the masters of cybersecurity program, a constant thought was how I could help others become more security-minded, and improve their cybersecurity awareness.
The book idea originated as a way I could help my family. But, the project began to cover much more than originally planned and it became clear that I needed to write a book that would help as many people as possible.
Everyday Cybersecurity is the first book I have actually completed. And the first to be published, even if it was through Amazon. I did pay an editor as I wanted a professional to look at it.
That said, there are probably some errors and inaccuracies. After getting the proof copy I did reformat the book so the inside would look better.
Some stats about the book... and remember, I work full-time, have a family with 4 kids, and I was in the last semester of a masters degree in cybersecurity.
95 sources were referenced and included in the bibliography.
74 sources were cited in the book.
In it's paperback form, the book has 269 pages at 6 x 9 inches.
From the start on the first rough draft to being accepted for initial publication on Amazon, the process took 104 days.
While I did reference a number of sources, I did not want it to be textbook-like or to have an "academic" feel to it.
My intent was to create a book that had a friendly, conversational feel to it. Much like if I were helping a user understand some computer concept.
I will be adding to this site over summer 2019, as well as some additional sites.
