I am a member of the Editorial Board for Mandenkan, a journal specializing in Mande linguistics. I am also a member of the Scientific Committee for Linguistique et Langues Africaines. I am also a member of the Editorial Board for the Contemporary African Linguistics series at Language Science Press.

I am currently the Boren Scholarship Advisor at Syracuse University. The Boren Awards support language study for American students at overseas universities. I am also a member of the Advisory Board for the Maxwell African Scholars Union, and an affiliate of the West African Languages Institute at Indiana University.

In my free time, I most enjoy spending time with my husband, Gary. You can view his graphic design work here: GEM Design.

After a long hiatus, I've reintroduced music into my life by playing in the pit for local musical theater productions.
