Marketable skills and abilities
Getting noticed by potential employers is super important in today's world. Here's a look at the skills and talents I, Christopher Calvo, bring to the table, developed through my school work and activities outside of class:
Thinking on My Feet and Solving Problems
I've gotten really good at figuring things out, especially tough problems, thanks to my classes in Industrial Engineering and by facing real challenges head-on when doing things like helping out with Fundación +Movil. There, I had to come up with smart ways to let people know about our project and gather up used electronic devices to help close the gap for folks who don't have access to tech.
Leading and Working with Others
Playing soccer has taught me a lot about leading a team and working well with others. Being an attacking midfielder means I have to think strategy and motivate my teammates, which has helped us win games and even get noticed on an international level. These experiences have really helped me understand how to manage a team and push us all to do our best.
Taking Charge
I always look for ways to learn more and get better at what I do, beyond just getting good grades. I'm always on the lookout for chances to grow, especially in areas that will help me in my future job as an engineer.
Talking and Sharing Ideas
Whether I'm giving a presentation or leading a project like Key Club, I've worked on how to share my thoughts clearly and keep people interested. I'm pretty good at explaining complicated stuff in a way that makes sense to everyone, whether we're planning a community project or figuring out a game plan for soccer.
Being Flexible and Staying Positive
All the different things I've done, from sports to volunteering, have made me really adaptable and tough. I can handle change, take on new challenges, and stay upbeat even when things get tough.
