Recreation and tourism are allowed and encouraged on Christmas Island National Park. The national park does tours such as snorkeling and scuba diving; they allow walks in the rainforest and swimming in the beaches. Christmas Island has its own golf course, and they even do tours to see their native species, the red crab, migration. The national park has a small-town like community with facilities such as, a bank, police department, pharmacy, small hospital, restaurants, cafes, and pubs.
