The Christmas celebration at Nazareth Primary School, Vasai, took place on December 23, 2025, with great enthusiasm and joy. The event began with a warm welcome, setting the tone for a truly festive occasion. The audience was reminded of the true meaning of Christmas – a time for love, peace, and togetherness.
The celebration opened with a soulful prayer service, invoking God's blessings and filling the atmosphere with serenity and devotion.
The Advent candles were lit, symbolizing the preparation for the coming of Christ. Each flame represented hope, peace, joy, and love, igniting these values in the hearts of all those present.
The significance of the five Advent candles was explained: The Prophecy Candle, Bethlehem Candle, Shepherd's Candle, Angel's Candle, and Christ Candle, each carrying a profound message of faith and light.
The story behind the Christmas ornaments was shared, emphasizing the spiritual meaning behind the Christmas tree, star, bells, lights, wreath, holly, and candy canes.
A beautiful tableau depicting the Nativity scene was presented by the students, bringing to life the humble birth of Jesus Christ in Bethlehem with simplicity and devotion. The carol singing by our students added a joyful touch to the tableau. Their cheerful voices and bright smiles conveyed the message of love, happiness, and togetherness, making the occasion truly special.
Students from the Primary section performed a vibrant Christmas dance, filling the stage with energy, rhythm, and festive cheer. The angelic and shepherd dances brought even more joy and enthusiasm to the celebration, lighting up the entire event with love and happiness.
The much-awaited entry of Santa Claus brought smiles and excitement to the gathering. This was followed by melodious carol singing that uplifted everyone’s spirits with the message of goodwill and joy.
The Headmistress addressed the gathering, praising the efforts of both students and teachers, and reminded everyone of the values of love, sharing, and kindness that are central to the Christmas spirit.
The program concluded on a joyful note, leaving behind the true spirit of Christmas – a spirit of peace, love, and celebration – in the hearts of all.
