Watoto Wasoka is a Ugandan nonprofit organisation using football and play to strengthen learning, health, and inclusion for children and young people living in Kampala and Wakiso’s slum communities.
Founded in 2009, our work reaches children through three main pathways:
Foundational literacy and numeracy through play
WASH, menstrual health, and mental-wellbeing education
Inclusive football programmes, camps, and tournaments
Since our founding, we have worked with tens of thousands of children, trained hundreds of coaches, and built a model of peer-led learning that places play at the centre of child development.
A joyful, inclusive world where every young person learns, stays healthy, and grows with joy.
We help children learn and stay healthy
through football and play.
