About Me

I am an associate professor in the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering at Northern Illinois University. I am generally interested in developing and using optimization, machine learning/AI, simulation, and other industrial engineering techniques to solve problems in supply chain, transportation, and manufacturing. 

My work also integrates machine learning techniques—such as clustering, simulation, and data‑driven optimization—with operations research to solve real‑world industry and healthcare challenges through externally sponsored projects with corporate and nonprofit partners. I have led collaborative research initiatives resulting in impactful process improvements, facility redesigns, and decision‑support tools.
