About Christine

I have an academic background in Sociology and Education Research. Before training as a Psychotherapist, I worked in Adult Education and have over twenty years experience of designing and delivering courses at both secondary and tertiary levels. This involvement fed my passion for promoting equality by opening access to knowledge and supporting each person in recognising their full potential.

I began my career as a Psychotherapist by completing a Certificate in Counselling at Cork Institute of Technology then progressed to the University of Limerick MA in Humanistic Integrative Psychotherapy. I graduated with honours in 2008 and joined the Mary Immaculate College Counselling team as an intern before entering Private Practice. I work according to the Code of Ethics of the Irish Association of Humanistic Integrative Psychotherapists.

If you come to me for therapy you will experience a one to one, person-centred approach. This will facilitate us in using our therapeutic relationship to develop a safe, non-judgmental environment where we can work together to explore anything you wish to bring. As I am an Integrative Psychotherapist I draw on a number of different approaches in my work so we will be able to select the method of working that best facilitates you. Each session will be your time where I will support you to open to your feelings and develop self-awareness that will enable you to access your true potential.

Taking the first step into a new situation can be challenging. If you are unsure as to whether psychotherapy is for you don’t hesitate to arrange a complimentary, introductory session where you can bring any questions you may have and we can discuss how we might work together.
