Christina Mayr is a technical writer, information architect, eoutspoken user advocate, and champion for the technical writing profession. Currently leading a small team of technical writers in an IT organization within the gaming industry, Christina prides herself on leading and coaching others to improve their skills in technical communication. Her professional interests include technical content strategy, content operations, and leadership.
After receiving her MA in Technical & Professional Communication from East Carolina University, Christina worked as a technical writer on technology-focused teams for various industries, including electronics manufacturing, pharmaceutical R&D, web application development, and networking hardware and software. Christina won several awards from the STC Competitions, including Distinguished and Best of Show candidate at the regional level and Merit at the international level and shared her expertise at various conferences.
In her spare time, Christina runs a resume and career coaching consultancy, helping clients from all industries get better jobs and better pay by improving their job search strategies and application materials.Â
Christina resides near Raleigh, NC with her husband and two children and spends her weekends exploring nearby cities, DIY'ing home improvements, and making a dent in her large stack of unread books.
