Master project information event
Presentation of available Master projects starting in Summer/Autumn 2026 at the University of Geneva
on Wednesday, 20th May at 16:15 online;
Zoom link can be requested via email: c.schilling@lmu.de
We are always seeking highly motivated students with excellent grades interested in pursuing a Master research project in a stimulating scientific environment. Our group works at the forefront of the quantum sciences and offers a diverse range of projects with theoretical, computational, or mathematical focus. Research topics span multiple subfields, including quantum information theory, quantum computing, quantum many-body physics, and quantum chemistry.
Exemplary selection of available projects:
Foundations of entanglement in systems of identical particles
Development of methods for strongly correlated electrons in physics and chemistry
Automated selection schemes for active spaces in quantum chemistry and quantum optics
Foundations of quantum computing and the development of quantum algorithms
Novel entanglement scaling laws in confined off-lattice systems
Geometry of density matrices and its implications for functional theory
Exclusion principle for cobosons
Applications to join our group as a Master student should be sent together with a CV and academic transcripts (Bachelor’s degree and ongoing Master’s studies) to: c.schilling@lmu.de.
Also indicate when you expect to complete your Master’s coursework and when you would plan to start the Master project thereafter.
