Master project information event
Presentation of available Master projects on Wednesday, 4th February
at 12:15 in room A348 at Theresienstr. 37
We are always seeking highly motivated students with excellent grades interested in pursuing a 1-year Master research project in a stimulating scientific environment. Our group works at the forefront of the quantum sciences and offers a diverse range of projects with theoretical, computational, or mathematical focus. Research topics span multiple subfields, including quantum information theory, quantum computing, quantum many-body physics, and quantum chemistry.
Exemplary selection of available projects:
Development of methods for strongly correlated electrons
Entanglement scaling laws in confined systems
Foundations of entanglement in identical particle systems
Development of novel quantum algorithms
Geometry of reduced density matrices
Functional theories: foundations and applications
Universal exclusion principle for cobosons
Applications to join our group as a Master student should be sent together with a CV and academic transcripts (Bachelor’s degree and ongoing Master’s studies) to: c.schilling@lmu.de.
Also indicate when you expect to complete your Master’s coursework and when you would plan to start the Master project thereafter.
