Christian Klinkenberg

On Saturday, June 4, the 2nd performance of the music-theater Gleichmachung (Equilisation) by Christian Klinkenberg will take place @Alter Schalchthof (tickets). It is a cooperation of KL-EX and and the Logos Foundation. In this piece, human musicians play together with music robots. These robots with their many lights and movement possibilities become actors and are thus at the same time part of the play.

The renowned ensemble Neue Vocalsolisten will perform Christian Klinkenberg's new composition on the following dates:

  • Marseille, 10 May 16h30: This concert takes place in the context of the Tenor Conference. The 7th International Conference on Technologies for Music Notation and Representation (TENOR) will take place in Marseille on 9/10/11 May 2022. The event will take place in a hybrid format (both in-person and remote). About TENOR : “The International Conference on Technologies for Music Notation and Representation is dedicated to issues in theoretical and applied research and development in Music Notation and Representation, with a strong focus on computer tools and applications, as well as a tight connection to music creation. "Technology" in the conference name refers to any mean that may contribute to the notation, representation and/or visualisation of the music and sound, for purposes that may include (but not limited to) music composition, performance, representation, transcription, analysis and pedagogy.” The event will be hosted by the interdisciplinary art-science laboratory PRISM, in collaboration with the InCIAM Institut and Aix-Marseille University (AMU). In addition to its scientific collaborators, the Salle Musicatreize and the Université Côte d'Azur as well as the Marseille Conservatoire will participate in the organization of the artistic side of the conference.

  • Stuttgart, 1 June 20h00: This concert is part of the concert series "Südseite nachts" at the Theaterhaus Stuttgart Südseite-P1.

Painter Marc Kirschvink has now completed all 119 pictures of the graphic score of the opera "The Glacier". The pitch is notated exclusively by note heads and accidentals on the lower quarter of the screen, sometimes supplemented by short written explanations or pictograms. These note heads are linked to a corresponding graphic element on the upper part of the screen by using the same color.

Do you want to know what these pictures sound like? The world premiere will take place on October 25. This will be followed by 6 more performances.
