Hello, I’m Christian Hatton-Jones.
I was born in Johannesburg, South Africa, and English is my native language. I also speak Afrikaans. I have lived in Poland since 2018 and I genuinely enjoy the culture, the landscapes and the opportunities this country offers.
Before becoming a full-time Business English trainer, I spent over 13 years working as a chief accountant in large corporations in Johannesburg and London. This experience gave me deep insight into international business communication, cross-cultural teamwork and the professional expectations present in global organisations.
I have been teaching English since 2017 and have worked with learners at all proficiency levels, including preparing students for language exams. Today, I specialise in supporting professionals and managers who need to communicate clearly, confidently and naturally in their work environment.
Outside of teaching, I am also a rugby coach, working with junior and cadet teams at Juvenia Kraków. Sports and education complement each other perfectly — both require discipline, teamwork and effective communication.
A few things about me:
I learned to snowboard at 36 and now spend every winter on the slopes.
I have a Golden Retriever who joins me on long walks through Polish forests.
I appreciate Polish cuisine — although it took me a few years to truly enjoy pierogi.
I continue to learn Polish and find the language wonderfully challenging.
I look forward to helping you communicate professionally, confidently and naturally in English.
