Coach Warren Shimada has 16 years experience coaching both boys and girls fundamental and strategic basketball skills from ages 5-18 years old.
God has blessed me with the passion of coaching basketball in a way that honors Him. My coaching philosophy is based on encouragement, one-on-one coaching techniques, repetitive skills development and sharing how God’s Word relates to the game of basketball and our lives as servants for Him. The Fellowship of Christian Athletes Ministry has taught me about “transformational coaching” vs “transactional coaching”. God has led me down the road to be a “transformational coach” who focuses on the player and how they apply the lessons in playing the game of basketball with Bible. I am blessed to be an ambassador of God who can share how their life experiences will allow them to grow in their relationship with the Lord.
