I'm a second year doctoral student in computer science at the Centro de Investigación en Computación (CIC) of the Instituto Politécnico Nacional (IPN) in Mexico City.

I'm studying applications of causal inference in natural language processing (NLP). My interests include NLP and Computational Linguistics, Deep Learning, Machine Learning, and AI in general.

Before going to grad school, I worked for a satellite operator in Mexico from early 2012 to late 2018, first as an Astrodynamicist and later on as the Lead Spacecraft Engineer.

I worked as a freelance translator from English into Spanish for a translation agency from late 2014 to late 2018. In 2016, I took a two-semesters long course on translation at Centro de Enseñanza de Lenguas Extranjeras (CELE, now ENALLT) of Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM).
