One of the kindest and most positive professors I have met! Continue course as is :)
He made the material enjoyable especially with the quizzes.
It was a very challenging yet fun class. At times though, the reports were quite daunting to write.
He enjoys teaching and it shows. He was kind and understanding and overly generous with grading.
Professor Park is very passionate about the learning and growth opportunities for his students! I really appreciated his challenging yet enlightening course!
A very good and informative session that helped tie many different previous courses together. Prof Park did a great job keep students engaged through activities and encouraging participation. Overall, really enjoyed the course although the Next Nvidia project was quite challenging.
Amazing instructor, really enjoyed his class.

Very thoughtfully and well structured course. Challenging but Dr. Park was there to help us when needed.
It’s truly an honor to write about you, Dr. Park. You are an exceptional teacher, and your course has significantly boosted my confidence in tackling real-world challenges. I would be thrilled to take more courses from you at Shidler. From the beginning your confidence, mentioning 13 year teaching experience, colored highlighted class slides, your always prepared get up, taking each class a challenge to teach all students the course material and complete 80 pages slides in 3 hours impressed me. I observed your every steps of teachings and I understand this is only possible when teacher wants to go through continuous improvements, value the comments of students and always think about students help. Thinking about students help, you changed the grading style number of times. This is really appreciating and impressive. This is the only class in my life where I beilive at least 98% students learn something for their life, and didn't lose their cocentration during class. your home work assignments were really good materials. your midterm questions were also good. no complain about the questions. those are the basic question, not math heavy. also liked how you have prepared us for the nvidia project. You’re already an outstanding educator, but I believe you value feedback from students and continuously strive for improvement. With that in mind, here are a few minor suggestions that might be helpful: 1. For homework feedback, you often provided the same appreciative comments each time. On one occasion, you accidentally pasted the comment from a previous homework without updating the homework number. While I understand this is challenging, more personalized feedback would feel even more motivating. 2. Our team was excellent, but for others, it might be helpful to introduce the team contribution grading sheet at the start of the semester to set expectations early. 3. Including the module number at the beginning of each class slide, along with the class number, could enhance clarity. 4. your can organize the resources in laulima into specific categories such as "Class Materials," "Tutorials," "Syllabus," and "Group Assignments" etc. It might make them even more user-friendly. 5. You might not be agree with me, though you introduced us with Bloomberg, you also could introduce us with Yahoo finance, Trading view softwares panel to evaluate stock more effectively, though I understand this is not the correct academic approach. Dr. Park, It was really an amazing semester with you and I would love to be connected with you in future.
Professor Park's class is the most traditional course of the four core classes. This resonates with me and one of the best formats for me to learn. I really enjoy his class.
Very passionate and deeply care about his students performances and well-being. Even if the class material is very challenging, Prof. Park is one of the best professor I had the pleasure to encounter in my student journey at the UH Manoa.
There was a lot to get through, so the difficulty of the class is understandable. The use of real world examples was nice, and the final project was interesting.

I really enjoyed working with Professor Park. Though the course was at times quite challenging and the workload heavy, the professor made every effort to listen to feedback, make adjustments and provide additional tools and resources to help his students succeed. He was always available for feedback, provided additional assistance and did so with an amazing attitude and kindness. Overall I am grateful for his teachings. Thank you professor!
I think Professor Chris did a wonderful job teaching the class. Teaching accounting in 6 weeks is no easy task, especially when majority of the students have never taken an accounting class before. As someone who has taken undergraduate accounting classes, I have enjoy this class 100% more than classes I have previously taken. I appreciate Professor Chris being accommodating with student schedules. Overall, I think Professor Chris is a wonderful professor and recommend he continue teaching this class.
Professor Park's class was very challenging, but I found the content to be very valuable. I did wish we had a bit more time to learn the material, but I understand that it had to be condensed in a short time frame. I appreciated that Professor Park was very flexible and willing to work with us to enhance our learning experience. I enjoyed the Nvidia project, as tough as it was, and having the knowledge to to analyze a financial statement will be something that I hope to use frequently in the future. Thank you for a great class Professor Park.
The professor's evident passion for the subject greatly enhanced the accounting course. His enthusiasm made complex topics engaging and accessible. Additionally, he showed a deep commitment to student success by adjusting grading policies to better accommodate the class's diverse needs, ensuring a supportive and productive learning environment.
Chris is an awesome teacher. He’s very passionate and enthusiastic about teaching accounting. Loved the teacher but the content organization and class paring was very difficult. It was very obvious that balancing 20 chapters and condensing the content into 37 hours of class time was challenging for the students as well as Chris. He tried his best and so did we. I recommend taking accounting the second semester when there’s only 3 classes (spring 2025) versus having us take it simultaneously with Analytics. Another note I would make is to understand the time difference between masters level and undergraduate level teaching.. Overall, Chris was amazing and does deserve to teach the DLEMBA program.
Difficult class and fast paced, but very vital learning for an MBA. Completely new topic for me so hard work was necessary for me to learn it. I feel better prepared for financial analysis.
If asked about this class a month or two ago, I would have noted that the workload was excessive and there was considerable emphasis on competition among classmates. Throughout the semester, Chris demonstrated flexibility by addressing the concerns of our cohort, which consisted of full-time working professionals, including some executives. He often made adjustments based on our feedback, indicating his commitment to prioritizing learning. Chris also brought significant energy to his lectures, ensuring student engagement despite the long hours of the compressed EMBA structure. He was open to learning from our cohort and made syllabus adjustments to accommodate our professional lives and help manage stress levels. Ultimately, I gained substantial knowledge about financial and management accounting. The group projects focused on real-world applications, and I recommend Chris continue using them in this course. As far as feedback for improvement… The Pearson homework did not seem particularly valuable or engaging as some of the problems appeared misaligned with classroom teachings. Chris addressed these concerns by making the homework extra credit, reducing the cohort's stress. Considering the course's heavy workload, I suggest replacing these Pearson modules with problems from in-class presentations, potentially as stand-alone assignments in Laulima to help reinforce the teachings. Online sessions in the compressed EMBA structure lasted 3-4 hours. Providing longer and more frequent breaks during these sessions could enhance understanding and retention of the material. As a working professional, I found the conditions during the final exam excessive. We all took the exam seriously and studied hard. Keeping mics on felt distrustful, especially since the exam was open notes. Lastly, the competitive voting aspects should be reconsidered. While business is inherently competitive, fostering cooperation within a cohort working together for two years is essential. Chris responded to feedback by altering the voting system for the final project, and I hope this approach continues in the future. While this may seem like a significant amount of critical feedback, I ultimately gained an extensive understanding of accounting—far surpassing what I learned in my two undergraduate courses on the subject. Chris’s enthusiasm is highly motivating, and his adaptability is commendable. I hope to encounter more professors with his level of passion throughout my EMBA journey.
The instructor was more than willing to help and work with the students. It was an impossible task to cover so much in depth accounting information so it seemed chaotic at times but I understand he was just trying to give us the accounting tools and references we needed.

Chris's class was one of the rarest courses that I have taken at Shidler. His expert knowledge in the material, plus his dedication to his students resulted in an environment that both intellectually challenged students and encouraged students to be achieve highly in their careers. Chris understands that Shidler's promise of a rigorous curriculum does not mean making classes unreasonably difficult for the sake of being difficult. It means challenging students in a way that encourages them to engage and learn from the course material. The only other instructor that I would put into this category of instructors at Shidler is Mary Woollen. Kudos to Professor Park and Professor Woollen for being stand-out instructors and setting the standard for instructors at the Shidler College of Business.
This was a good class. I learned a lot from Prof. Park's class. I liked how enthusiastic he was about what he was teaching; it made the class feel not as tiring as a morning class can feel. I loved the extra credit quizzes. Please continue them.
Great! loved the course and professor I felt very comfortable answering and asking questions
Chris's passion and excitement about the course and material was contagious. I appreciated his enthusiasm and encouragement.
Excellent Professor! Challenges students but helps guide them to maximize the knowledge gained
Thank you for a wonderful semester!
The professor was enthusiastic about teaching and led enjoyable classes.
He was a great teacher! Keep him as long as you can because it's obvious he cares about the students while teaching the material effectively.

"Was Great! It was a 9 am class but the professor made me want to learn that early in the morning. They were great at explaining and their teaching style was both informative and interactive. They are open to taking in feedback and encouraged students to ask and answer questions. Overall, it was a fun class! I would take it again. I would take another class thought by this professor."
"One of the most enjoyable Accounting classes I have taken at Shidler. The professor has an obvious joy for instructing and that comes through every class session."
"The way the class is organized helps to benefit the students and ensure our success in the class. Rather than feel stressed about mastering of concepts or trying to complete assignments, the professor has geared the class to see the students succeed. It is a relief to have a professor help students succeed rather than assign assignments for the sake of it. The use of extra credit motivators helped us process and learn the materials at a more in-depth level."
"Overall amazing and caring professor. Class content was very informative and interesting."
"Very respectful and supportive. He's passionate about teaching."
"I enjoyed Professor Chris' class. I loved how he provided printed powerpoint slides to take notes, which helped me to engage in the class. I enjoyed taking quiz as a group than doing it individually. It gave me an advantage to get extra credit points that way. The group assignments were a bit difficult, but overall it was not that hard and enjoyable."
"Very passionate professor that cares about his students and always tries to get that teacher-student relationship for us to understand the material."
"Professor Park is one of my favorite professors in the accounting department at Shidler so far. He transmits his enthusiasm for the subject through engaging lectures and fun, relevant examples. The projects make you engage with the issue thoughtfully using relevant source materials like research papers and the FASB ASC, then put them into your own words."

"Amazing Professor"
"I really enjoyed this course. It wasn’t easy, however professor made it more enjoyable with a quiz for extra credit and a great personality."
"Great enthusiasm, really cared for students success."
"I thoroughly enjoyed the class even when the concepts are sometimes difficult to follow. However, the instructor was always available to explain the concepts further when we're having difficulties understanding it."
"The instructor of this class was great. I appreciated all the things he did to his student with making the final a little less stressful. The difficulty of this class was very challenging but it did push me to do better and be mindful of studying. I actually learned a few things from this professor given that my last professor for accounting 200 was not quite helpful when it came to learning in the class."
"Really nice teacher. He tries really hard to meet students where they are. There's a lot of content to cover and he covers a lot every class which can be really challenging to get used to"
"Mr. Park really cares about his students and did his best to get everyone engaged with the material. Accounting is a brutal class and I don't think he should take it as personally when people aren't as interested as he wants them to be. He's doing great for being a new teacher and took our opinions and suggestions into account when building the syllabus for next year."
"Great class, really enjoyed learned with Mr. Park"
"I liked the formatting of this course and how he gave us extra credit opportunities. I did find that it was difficult to keep up with how quickly we were going over the material, and there was a lot of outside of class studying I had to do to keep on track with the course material. But Professor Park cares about the success of his students and gives us inspiration to try our best, not just in his class, but with school in general."
"Pros Straight forward format Good attitude Detailed explanations Fair policies Resources/Opportunities posted Open meeting times Improvements Could work through an example before engaging the class with problems, as it may be difficult to grasp beforehand Slides could be a bit shortened, as coverage and speed may lose quality of learning Have some opportunities for group work, such as mini in-class problems with rotating groups to foster social skills, connections, and further learning"

"I really enjoyed this capstone course, the professor (Chris) was one of the best professors I ever had, and I always looked forward to his course. The use of quiz was great in reinforcing the information taught in the class, and I also liked how the quiz was for extra credit as opposed to being graded as sometimes it causes more stress for students. The workload was a lot, however it is definitely doable as long as you don't procrastinate and work gradually. I also enjoyed the content of the class. I also really appreciated that Chris printed out his own powerpoints and let the students follow along and pay attention, as I felt like I learned the material better. He was also really enthusiastic about teaching, and a great professor overall. I would definitely take another class taught by him."
"One of the best courses I have had in Shidler, as Professor Park was a great professor. The course was structured really well."
"There was a good balance between projects and lectures with the material being tested on to really ensure students were learning. I also appreciate how the quizzes were beneficial as they did not jeapardize the student's grade but instead were for extra points to encourage students to try and prepare for class to do well. I also appreciate the fair grading and understanding nature Professor Park taught the class with. He respected the students a lot and it made the course a fun, challenging, and benefitical experience. As a capstone class he provided enough guidance to allow students to apply their knowledge to their best ability. I have no complaints about the course or the professor."
"Learned a lot from this class. Great review of financial accounting concepts. Was able to improve my public speaking skills."
"He is very passionate in teaching. His teaching way makes me understand easy. His feedback always encourages students to have confidence over time."
"I really like the instruction style! 1. I love his quizzes although I could not get most of extra credits. It gives me a better understanding of what I have learned. 2. I like your final exam method. Some students may argue that too many multiple choices, but if they follow the right track, it is "the easiest" to erase all wrong answers although there are 8-9 multiple choices (Because the number is exact same). 3. I like how you provide the feedback. Most detailed feedback I have ever got. Thank you so much for giving me great feedbacks! 4. I like your teaching style of how you let us practice the questions during the class! - It might be better to provide more detailed level of information for group projects such as what are you looking for those projects. Sometimes we overthought and went to the wrong place or talked to much in non-relevant information."
"Learning about the recent FASB recognition was valuable and helpful throughout other accounting classes as well. The examples and team work helped us learn and understand the lessons."

"Amazing course with an amazing instructor. Chris Park is kind, respectful, generous, organized, communicative, and able to challenge his students without shaming them. So many instructors could learn from Park's teaching style and organization. I learned so much in this course due to repetition and the academic journals we had to report on. I also built my presentation skills by practicing in a safe environment. Chris Park is a one-of-a-kind teacher."

"Thank you professor Chris for a great semester! I felt thoroughly challenged in this class, as I have a history of struggling with math classes. Despite this, the professor did a great job of making lectures engaging, informative, and not too overwhelming. Having quizzes for extra credit almost every day highly encouraged me to stay engaged and take more notes. Also despite having about 29 students in the same lecture at once, the professor put in much effort to make the class feel interactive; promoting students to share answers over private chat and responding to each of their questions by name."

"I thoroughly enjoyed coming to class. The beginning acknowledgment of each student made everyone feel like their presence in the class was of importance. Over time the mandatory video on was appreciated as it kept us accountable for our learning. And although it isn’t on the professor to hold the students' hand through learning, it really became necessary during these times as it was very easy to mentally check out for the rest of the no video mandatory courses. Thank you for creating a positive environment."

"Professor Park was really encouraging and supportive throughout the accounting 210 lectures. He made the class exciting by playing games and his emails displayed how sincere he wanted us to participate in zoom by turning on the camera and showing up on time. I really liked his classes. I never thought I would actually enjoy an accounting class. Thank you professor!!"
"He was a very pleasant and kind teacher. I liked his friendly way of dealing with his students."
"Great guy that truly cares about our learning. Always energetic during meetings and makes sure his students understand his expectations for the class. Made it a great class despite the online format. Always responds to emails in a timely matter. Other professors usually make it that students can cheat on tests but Mr Park always made it an even playing field for his students so that it’s fair for students that actually study and wanna learn the material. He is a great professor! Super organized and overall a great guy 10/10"
"Professor Park was a good professor. He knew everything about accounting which made the class well organized. The only thing I had trouble with was keeping up, I did attend all classes, and did all the homework as well as studied long for tests but I felt the class was still hard at times. I should have utilized tutoring more but under certain personal circumstances I had a hard time in doing so. Overall, I could tell Professor Park, did care about his students, his class was just difficult, especially for those who have a harder time in accounting as he did expect a lot from us."
"Great class."

The quiz questions we had every class period helped test our learning to make sure that we understood the content that we learned in the prior classes or from the homework."
"I loved Professor Park's course because he challenged us with his assignments but still made sure we understood it well, he treated us like actual human beings by making sure we weren't stressed out or confused about anything, and moreover, learned the concepts taught in the class really well. I thought he was great in making sure we were following along and understanding the content by asking questions in between his lectures, using quizzes for extra credit quizzes, and integrating the content being taught in the class into class assignments really well."
"Great class! Great professor, very smiley."
"I really enjoyed your teaching style. Quizzes helped a lot and gave opportunities to review the contents learned from previous classes."
"Best teacher ever!!!"
"You were amazing! Everything was engaging and I felt like you understood, as a professor, what we needed from this course. The research papers for the assignments were on interesting topics and the assignments allowed us to apply what we learned. The review lessons on financial accounting were also helpful, it was simplified and actually easier to learn than when I took the semester-long course."

His positive attitude and joyful spirit really make class fun and engaging. This was one of my only zoom classes that felt like it was in person. More professors at UH really need the positive attitude Professor Park demonstrates. The feedback he gives for presentations really helped me improve, both for this class and other classes. I really appreciate how Professor Park helps his students both inside and outside of the classroom. Professor Park has met with me to discuss my career options and gave me insight on the fields I am interested in. He also gave me some helpful advice with me moving on to graduate school."
"I truly enjoyed learning from Professor Park. I looked forward to joining is class every week and I hope I am able to have classes taught by him in the future."
"Professor Park created a positive learning environment during his lectures and discussions."
"The way he teaches is amazing."
"Professor Park was very nice and sweet. He was very funny and made the class lectures very interesting. He is very approachable and very knowledgeable. I like how he gives us honest feedback on our presentation performance. It helped and improved my presentation skills a lot. Other than that, it also improved my confidence. The case studies was also helpful and definitely improved my writing skills. Overall, Professor Park is an amazing instructor."

"WONDERFUL TEACHER. I thoroughly enjoyed the course, and the knowledge I took from this course will be everlasting."
"One of the best accounting professors at UH!"
"Hands down the best accounting prof in Shidler. I wish he taught more classes because of his class and his teaching style are the best. He really understands and empathizes with his students. His entire teaching style is based on that, and that's what makes him so awesome!"
"Never felt welcomed in the class before, until I met Professor Park. He welcomed each student and really felt that he wanted to help us go through the class without not knowing anything. I truly appreciate his help and considerations. I hope to take his lecture in the future if I can."
"Awesome class. Thank you!"
"Really good class, the content was only sometimes challenging but overall really enjoyed the class."
"Positive: Easy to attend class. Group projects were easy to work on since we could make our own groups, and the parts were easily divided. Chris made online learning fun with quizzes and extra credit. I liked how he required our cameras to be on, so it felt like we were in a classroom. He even kindly asked a student to not talk on the phone while on camera not to distract us, which I found very considerate. It felt like I was in an actual classroom with my friends. He always asked questions and kept us engaged with problems. It was very satisfying to hear a "Good job (student's name)!" after direct messaging him what I got for a problem. He was also the only teacher I had that said "Good morning (student's name)!" as everyone entered the class. His enthusiasm and passion for teaching really shine. Negative: Nothing! In-person is usually more fun, but this class was my favorite in my entire school career, despite being online."
"Professor demonstrates genuine care for his students and love for his job that I have never seen before. It motivates students to work hard and do well in the class. He makes it fun by having a competition online between students."
"Professor You-il was the best, and I would definitely recommend him to any student taking 460C."
"Very knowledgeable about the course content. Honestly, You-il Park is one of my most favorite professors in Shidler."
"Professor Park is a very kind instructor. He provided lots of feedback and support to his students. His class was not as challenging as the other accounting capstone courses, but the group work/ presentations did not make it too daunting. I would enroll in another course taught by this Professor."
"Great class, very engaging & knowledgeable professor!"
"The positive aspect of online learning for this class was that it was synchronous, and our Professor was always available online to answer any questions or address any issues we may have. He was very interactive with online games to help us learn the material. No negative aspect of learning in this class."
"I really enjoyed how much interaction there was in this class through the use of quiz, despite it being online, I learned quite a bit."
"Professor Park is a wonderful professor. He is very knowledgeable and kind. The work he assigned was challenging yet enjoyable. I appreciate that he thought of ways to make the class engaging by integrating quizzes and class exercises. I found myself looking forward to attending his class and listening to his lectures. He is really great at inspiring students to learn, and I feel I am taking away a lot of valuable knowledge from his course. If I could, I would take any of his classes again without any hesitation."
"The Professor was great, he took his time to help us gain these skills and knowledge. I wish it could have been in person because we could have established more of a student/ teacher connection through questions, etc., but the class was still enjoyable nonetheless."
"I didn't see any negative aspects, the class was easy to understand, and the teacher was very helpful."
"460C with Chris Park was my favorite course at Shidler (maybe even my whole college career)! I was concerned about capstones, but Chris did an excellent job alleviating my fears. He started the semester by saying that it has always been his dream to teach students like us. I think he won the hearts of the whole class with that line, haha. From that point, his class was non-stop fun with extra credit quiz games and challenging practice problems. After quizzes, he would always announce the winners and congratulate everyone. This feedback made me want to do my best each time. Whenever we did a problem, we privately messaged him our answers, and he would reply with either a chipper "Good job (student's name)!" or "Good try (student's name)! Try to do this instead..." Even when I got a problem wrong, I didn't feel discouraged, thanks to his encouragement. He truly cares about his students, and I feel very lucky to have had him as a teacher. Additionally, his slides were very organized. If I could rate this course above "Excellent," I would. Thank you, Chris!!"
"Everything thing was great because the Professor organized the format nicely. Thank you, Professor, for everything."

"Although the professor was new, he did an amazing job. I felt like my voice was heard, and he gave us incentives to work hard in understanding the material. I'm going to miss this class."
"An excellent class! Professor Chris goes above and beyond to help students understand the application of accounting concepts in real-world financial situations/cases. He is extremely thorough and clear with his explanations. I enjoyed his class very much and had a wonderful experience, which is rare for an accounting class."
"The instructor made it a point to make all students feel included during lecture."
"Enthusiastic teacher, covered too much about revenue recognition, I feel like the time could have been better used on additional topics."
"Best professor! He was very engaging and approachable. I actually looked forward to coming to this class."
"Thank you for the course. I fully enjoy the class!"
"Chris created a friendly work environment that promoted participation and made presentations much more bearable. The quiz games were also fun and useful in motivating students to study up on the material before class and retain the information longer. Overall, Chris's consideration towards his students made the class one of the most enjoyable out of the four accounting capstones."
"Pros: He cares about students very much. He always encourages the students. Enthusiasm It seems that he enjoys teaching very much, which enables the students to be proactive for learning. I guess nobody hates him because of his character. Cons: I wish I could have all PPT he presented in the class."
"Awesome class! Friendly professor who seemed to really care about his students. I learned a lot about the revenue recognition model. Appreciated the EC opportunities, which were presented in a different way using quizzes."
"Chris expressed the fact that it was his first semester at UH Manoa. I believe this was the perfect fit! He was very encouraging and taught the contents of the course with confidence!"
"Best capstone section out of all four courses. Professor Park is an amazing professor, very responsive in and outside of class, and keeps everyone engaged the entire time. His enthusiasm towards accounting makes a HUGE difference in how we learn and how MUCH we learn. He gives each and every individual the tools and confidence to do well in his course!"
"The teacher is the most caring and approachable teacher I've ever had in my college career. I actually enjoyed walking into the class and looked forward to what we would be learning instead of feeling tired and not wanting to go to class, knowing that it would be boring and just filled with dry lectures. I wish there are more lecturers like Professor Park in which he engaged in the classroom and tried to lift up the study morale. Although the cases were not too easy because I knew the classroom environment, I was willing to try hard and felt happy trying hard on the assignment because I knew that my hard work would be seen and appreciated. I am very glad that I was able to have a course like this before I graduate to make my college memories better."
"This course was one of the best classes I had this semester. I like how the professor provided the necessary guidance to help us do well in our assignments instead of assigning the work to us without much preparation like how some other accounting capstone classes do. I really liked the quizzes in every class because it was a good review of what was covered in past classes. The professor also gave constructive feedback after our assignments to help us improve for the next assignment, and I also thought that helped me learn more too. Overall, an excellent class, thank you!"
"Professor Park makes the class interesting and challenges students to exercise their knowledge and understanding of the course."
"Really enjoy this class. Nice professor and concern about student's need."
"Professor Park did an outstanding job with his stories about his prior experiences. I like his story about how he got into accounting. I really like his teaching style and how he did his best to make it fun. Quiz was really fun! Excellent teacher, and I would love to take his class again!"
"Very friendly and committed, professor! Makes sure you understand the content and has a fun, interactive style of teaching. The class was never boring!!"
"This class was fun!"
"I liked how he put on music before class. The professor is very knowledgeable about the course. He was very organized. The class is very straightforward. What you learned from previous classes can help you passed the class. I would recommend that whenever there is a new project, I supposed to be having different group members. The professor is at a very high level."
"I really like this course! I learned a lot. The course taught is really interesting. Thank you, professor!"

Prof Park is super approachable and responsive to our queries, even so during after class hours."
"Amazing Professor. He always structures the lesson in a way that we students can benefit the most from. Friendly and extremely helpful Professor."
"BEST PROF EVER. The Prof that is the most responsible for his teachings among every other Prof I have met. Ensure everyone in the class understands the concept well. Even going the extra mile to making his own slides outside of the e-lectures to help us understand even better. Uses very related examples to help us as well. Friendly, approachable, plans the lesson very well. Uses very clear examples to illustrate concepts."

He goes the extra mile to remember each student's name and provides his own seminar notes every week without fail. Through weekly quizzes, we are always encouraged to revisit the previous week's topic so that we can score well in the quiz."
"Prof Park is very approachable if we ever need to clarify any doubts we have about the content being taught. He also goes the extra mile to make sure his students understand the concepts very well during his lessons. I personally have benefited a lot from his teaching, as it is clear and easy to understand. The addition of using quizzes in his lessons and explaining the concepts after each question is very interesting and makes learning enjoyable. He also constantly motivates his students and reminds them never to give up. A wonderful lecturer, Keep up the good work!"
"Prof is extremely passionate about every lesson, and I really enjoy the vibe of the class!"
"Professor was interactive, encouraging class participation, got all of us on the same page and helped reinforce the previous lecture's concepts through quizzes, and also made the course an interesting and engaging one. "His passionate teaching allowed me to stay focus and interested throughout the course. His use of quiz allowed me to revise my previous week's content."
"Very cheerful and explains concepts clearly."
"Professor Park is the best Professor that I have been taught this semester. Professor Park is friendly and knowledgeable. Whenever I have any questions pertaining to the class or even extracurricular activities, he would never turn me away and would always try to help me in the best way possible. Professor Park would also provide us with his very own teaching slides to help us grasp important and hard concepts better. His slides are always filled with important details that we should take note of, and the blanks that are within the slides allow us to write down the important parts of the slides so that we can better internalize the concept. This is a very good way of learning. Professor Park is also creative in his teaching methods. He is always open to feedback on how he can teach better or allow us to enjoy learning FA better. When someone in class suggested that Prof should play music during our breaks, I am not sure if it was a joke or was it truly constructive feedback, Prof did it anyway in the next seminar, and he continued to do it until the end of our course. This was truly beneficial to us as it made the classroom not feel like a classroom. It's a little abstract, but during the breaks, when music was being played, it made the classroom feel like a cafe with people engaging in conversations, and relaxing music was being played in the background. It was truly a break where we could just relax our mind and take a breather before resuming the seminar, and I found it very beneficial to my learning. Professor Chris Park's relationship with his class is not just bounded by this subject. There was a period in time where I needed help to promote myself to the student body of NBS because of my CCA's election process. When I sought help from Prof, he allowed me to take up precious class time during my seminar so that I can give my announcement to the class. He even allowed me to speak to his other classes so that I can maximize my student outreach. He also provided constructive feedback on how I should improve my poster so that students can vote for me with relevant ease. Professor Park really did more than what he was supposed to do as a professor. He was like a mentor or an older brother to me, and that really made me feel welcomed in his classes. Thank you Prof!"
"His enthusiasm and cheerful attitude make me look forward to class every week. He also prepares his own lecture slides that make the concepts clear and clarifies the last week's chapters in his slides."
"Prof is very engaging and concise whenever he is explaining complex concepts. He makes sure we are all on track before moving on, and he is also very approachable."
"Professor Park is a wonderful professor who is very passionate when it comes to teaching. I have never seen a professor who is as passionate as he is when it comes to conducting engaging yet useful lessons. Being someone introverted, I really appreciate how he uses quizzes to encourage class participation instead of waiting for students to speak up in class instead. He will make the extra effort to compile questions that students have difficulties in, highlighting the different concepts that we should take notice of. Moreover, he provides supplementary hard copy notes for every lesson without fail, and that really enabled me to have a much clearer understanding of all the different accounting concepts. He is a professor who teaches beyond the textbook, such as using real-life companies as examples for us to understand the concepts even more clearly. Throughout the semester, he would also show us where we are standing by compiling our class participation to encourage us to continue working hard. Overall, he is a very approachable and friendly professor who continuously motivates his students to do better and makes them feel valued. I am really thankful to have a professor like him!"
"He is very vocal and captivating and shows passion for teaching and accountancy. He always comes prepared with notes for us to better understand him throughout his lessons. I really enjoyed all of his lessons, and he has really helped me develop an interest in accounting."
"Prof puts in a lot of effort into preparing and compiling the slides for us to ensure enhanced learning for us. He also comes up with chapter questions to summarize the key points of the topics by having quizzes. He also encourages participation in class, which engages the class throughout the 3hrs."
"He is a very friendly and kind professor who strongly cares for his students. He goes the extra mile to ensure his students are able to understand the concepts being taught. He also provides constant help for his students."
"One of the best professors I've ever met! Professor Park went through the concepts of Financial Accounting really well. From our online exercises, it was tough for us to understand some concepts, but nevertheless, he was willing to explain them to us again in class. And he went beyond just going through the worksheet questions to prepare his own slides to aid us in our learning. He was really friendly and patient towards helping students to understand their strengths and areas to improve. I never thought Financial Accounting could be so interesting until I attended his seminars. Thank you, Professor Park, you truly deserve this!"

"A very passionate teacher who takes an interest in his own students and gives his all to engage the class. He takes time off to send personal emails, remember student's name and share his personal stories to build a bond with his student. He is definitely one of the best professors in the school! Keep it up!"
"As they say, good teachers produce fantastic students. His passion for teaching and effort put into helping students understand the course explains why his class has near 100% attendance. He is the definition of a good teacher. I have been taught by many teachers, and he is definitely in the "excellent" group. He teaches and helps students. He even draws the Journal Entry/T-account and shows the steps to get the answer. No other lecture has ever done that, and that really helped me understand."
"He is very passionate about teaching and accounting, and this really shows whenever he teaches in lessons. He goes the additional step to teach beyond the lecture notes to show real-life examples and the application of the concepts we learn. He also puts in a lot of effort to get to know his students, which few professors really do. He has a very upbeat personality and never fails to get the class off to a great start to the week. The additional support he provides by responding quickly to emails to clarify doubts or simply staying after class ends to allow the quieter students to clarify doubts is also greatly appreciated. Additional activities are also great in reinforcing the content covered in the previous seminar and also give the quieter students an opportunity to contribute to their class participation."
"I really appreciate how kind and encouraging he is."
"Able to engage students in discussions. Good recap session by playing quizzes. Always encourage and give compliments to students. Appreciate your effort."
"Ask conceptual questions to ensure students' understanding of the topic. Explains through simple illustration to teach important concepts. Links topics to real-world cases."
"Very approachable, and I really enjoy his lessons a lot!! Makes difficult concepts easy to understand!"
When I was first allocated to AD1101's seminar on a Monday afternoon, I had intentions to switch to another class. However, after the first lesson, I changed my mind because I knew I was in good hands. The enthusiasm and passion that Prof Park has for the subject are very infectious and motivating, especially for a subject like Accounting that can be rather boring. Prof Park is very genuine in his teaching and is earnest in imparting knowledge to his students. He doesn't just want us to acquire knowledge for the sake of acquiring it; he wants us to learn, apply and to see it in real life. Even more than that, he wants us to love the subject the way he does. Prof Park is also extremely friendly and patient. As such, students are never afraid to ask him questions. ...Overall, I am really thankful for Prof Park's lessons and appreciate his humor, passion, and sincerity in teaching us. Thank you, Prof!"
"Passionate - always prepares additional content and tries his very best to apply accounting concepts in real-life examples. Inspiring - honestly, I thought of becoming a teacher but was put down by a lot of people. Prof Chris really inspired me to do that."
"Prof Park is very enthusiastic and passionate on this subject, which translates to his high quality teaching. He makes sure that all his students understand the important concepts and link them to the industry to enable his students to see the bigger picture. He is also very encouraging and approachable, and I am not afraid to clarify my doubt with him; his encouraging comments motivate me to do well for this tedious course."
"Prof Park makes lessons engaging and encourages participation (seminar discussions and weekly quiz). He puts in the effort to know his students and also create notes that will help us revise."
"Professor Park demonstrated his passion for both the subject and teaching through this course. His efforts to go the extra mile for students - remembering all their names and providing detailed/extra handouts with illustrations is commendable. He explains concepts clearly with illustrations, analogies, and useful handouts, which never fails to clear up the doubts of the students...."
