Christopher Ott

Picture Biography

Born in Kingston, NY in 1959. Grew up in Woodstock, NY. Family moved to Myrtle Beach, SC in 1966 for father to work and paint at the Meher Spiritual Center. Was exposed to Eastern ideas and art from an early age.

Studied cinema/television at the University of Southern California in the early 1980s.

Worked as an animation camera assistant at Korty Films in Mill Valley, California in the early 1980s, credited on Twice Upon a Time.

Founded Caravan Films, Inc. in the late 1980s.

Studied philosophy at the Univeristy of Arkansas in Fayetteville. Master's thesis was on historical objections to idealism. Received MA in 2001. The walkway outside Old Main is carved with the names of university graduates since 1871.

Published The Evolution of Perception & the Cosmology of Substance in 2004.

Introduces a never before proposed conception of the creation of the phenomenal world and how we arose in it.

Gave a series of talks at Avatar Meher Baba Circle of Friends Circle Center in Myrtle Beach, SC in Spring of 2018, while developing the ideas for a rewrite of The Evolution of Perception. The series is here. Several other talks are available here.
