C.M. Masum Refat, born in Chittagong, Bangladesh, in 1996, obtained his B.Sc degree in 2018 from the International Islamic University Chittagong (IIUC), specializing in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering. Prior to his graduation, he actively engaged in the IT industry, assuming the role of a solution manager and contributing as a system engineer in the Telecommunications sector. In 2019, he embarked on his M.Sc (Research) journey in Mechatronics Engineering at the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM). Concurrently, he undertook the position of a research assistant at the Wahyudi Intelligent System Lab (WISE), housed within the premises of IIUM in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It is noteworthy that his research endeavors during this period were made possible through the generous sponsorship of the Asian Office of Aerospace Research and Development (AOARD) of the Air Force Office of Scientific Research (AFOSR).
In the year 2021, C.M. Masum Refat successfully completed his M.Sc (Research) degree in Mechatronics Engineering from IIUM. Subsequently, he was selected as a PhD candidate at the Morishima Lab, situated within the department of mechanical engineering at Osaka University in April 2021. In parallel, he was appointed as a Ph.D. Research fellow at Osaka University, Japan, with his research being financially supported by the Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST) as part of the Moonshot goal 3 initiative. Furthermore, he was honored with a Mitsubishi Corporation international scholarship (JEES Sponsor-Crowned Scholarship) to further his doctoral studies.
C.M. Masum Refat's dedication to academia and research is underscored by his achievements, including the prestigious recognition of receiving the Best Student Paper award at the 2022 IEEE International Conference on Mechatronics and Automation. He also actively contributes to the scholarly community as a reviewer for renowned journals and the IEEE Conference. Additionally, his master's research project earned him a Bronze award at the Kuliyyah of Engineering Research, Innovation, and Commercialization Exhibition 2020 competition held at IIUM, Malaysia.

Masum Refatさんは、1996年にバングラデシュのチッタゴンで生まれました。彼は2018年に国際イスラム大学チッタゴン（IIUC）で電子通信工学を専攻してB.Scの学位を取得しました。卒業前、IT業界で積極的に活動し、テレコミュニケーションセクターでソリューションマネージャーとしての役割を果たし、システムエンジニアとして貢献しました。2019年には、マレーシアの国際イスラム大学（IIUM）でメカトロニクス工学のM.Sc（研究）プログラムに参加し、同時にクアラルンプールにあるIIUMのWahyudi Intelligent System Lab（WISE）で研究アシスタントとしての役割を引き受けました。この期間中の彼の研究活動は、アジア航空宇宙研究開発事務所（AOARD）の寛大な後援によって可能になりました。

2021年、C.M. Masum RefatさんはIIUMでメカトロニクス工学のM.Sc（研究）学位を取得しました。その後、彼は2021年4月に大阪大学の機械工学部内にある森島研究室の博士課程候補生として選ばれました。同時に、彼は大阪大学のPh.D.研究員に任命され、その研究は日本科学技術振興機構（JST）の「ムーンショット目標3」イニシアティブの一環として財政的に支援されています。さらに、彼は博士課程の研究を進めるために三菱商事国際奨学金（JEES Sponsor-Crowned Scholarship）を授与されました。
