Additionally, when you use ChowBase, we automatically collect certain technical information required to maintain app performance and security, including:

• Device Data: Your mobile device model, operating system version, unique device identifiers, and IP address.

• Usage Data: Information about your interactions with the app, such as search queries, viewed recipes, and generated grocery lists.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to provide, maintain, and improve our services. Specifically, your data is used to:

• Tailor personalized recipe recommendations.

• Enhance and process ChowAI interactions to answer your food-related queries accurately.

• Generate optimized grocery lists based on your inputs.

• Monitor and prevent fraudulent activity, unauthorized access, or multi-account abuse.

3. User Content & Media

Any images, videos, or recipes you upload remain your intellectual property. We only process and store this media to provide the service to you and other users. By uploading content, you grant ChowBase the technical right to host, cache, and display this media within the application.

4. Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We may share information with third-party vendors, cloud storage infrastructure, and service providers (such as AI processing APIs) that perform tasks on our behalf. These third parties are obligated to protect your data and use it solely for the services they provide to ChowBase.

5. Data Security

We take reasonable measures to help protect information about you from loss, theft, misuse and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration and destruction. However, please note that no method of electronic transmission or digital storage is 100% secure.

6. Data Retention & Account Deletion

You have the right to request the deletion of your account and all associated personal data at any time.

How to request deletion:

• In-App: Navigate to your Account Settings and select Delete Account.

• Via Email: Send an email to chowbase.support@gmail.com with the subject line "Account Deletion Request" from your registered email address.

Upon processing your request, your account data, saved dietary preferences, personalized grocery lists, and uploaded recipes will be permanently and irreversibly purged from our active databases within 30 days.

7. Children's Privacy

ChowBase does not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from anyone under the age of 13. If we learn that we have inadvertently collected personal data from a child under 13 without verifiable parental consent, we will deactivate the account and delete that information from our records as swiftly as possible.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When updates occur, we will revise the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically to stay informed about how we protect your information.
