Family Chore Board is a consumer app using in-app purchases/subscriptions for Pro access. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and your choices. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
App data you provide: task/list names, member names/emojis/nicknames, optional notes, recurrence/due dates, settings, share invitations/acceptance.
Device/app data: iCloud/CloudKit identifiers, Core Data/App Group identifiers, push notification tokens, and diagnostic logs (for reliability).
Purchase data: transaction/receipt info from Apple and RevenueCat to validate purchases/subscriptions.
We do not collect financial account details or payment card numbers.
On-device: Core Data stored in the app’s App Group container.
iCloud/CloudKit: Private database for your own data; shared database for data in boards you share or accept. Invited participants can see shared content.
App data syncs across devices signed into your Apple ID.
Push: Apple Push Notification service uses your notification token to deliver alerts.
With invited participants: Data in a shared board is visible to invitees. Leaving a share stops further sharing but may leave copies with other participants.
With service providers:
Apple iCloud/CloudKit and Apple Push Notification service (sync, storage, notifications)
RevenueCat (in-app purchase/subscription validation)
We do not sell personal data.
Pro access is provided via in-app purchases/subscriptions. Apple and RevenueCat receive purchase identifiers/receipts to validate entitlements. Manage/cancel in Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions.
Stop sharing: decline/leave CloudKit shares you no longer want to participate in.
Delete local data: delete the app or use any in-app reset if provided; also delete app data from iCloud if you want it removed from your account.
Notifications: disable in iOS Settings.
Data access/deletion help: contact nick@codebynick.com.
We rely on Apple platform security, App Group isolation, and CloudKit. No method is 100% secure; keep your device and Apple ID secure and avoid jailbreaking/rooting.
The service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child provided data, contact us to remove it.
If we link to third-party sites, their policies apply.
We may update this policy and will post updates in the app. Continued use means you accept the updated policy.
