Chore Quest ("the app") is a personal chore-tracking app. Your privacy matters, so here's exactly how the app handles data — in plain terms.
We do not collect, transmit, or share any personal data.
All information you enter — your chores, notes, points, streaks, levels, rewards, and completion history — is stored only on your device, locally. None of it is sent to us or to any server. We have no servers, no accounts, and no analytics.
If you turn on the daily reminder, the app schedules a local notification on your device to remind you to do your chores. These notifications are generated on your device and are not sent through any external service.
The app offers an optional one-time in-app purchase to unlock premium themes. Payments are processed by Google Play, not by us — we never see or store your payment details. The app only records, on your device, whether the unlock has been purchased. If you reinstall or switch devices, the app can ask Google Play to restore a purchase you already made.
The app downloads its display font once from Google Fonts (fonts.google.com) the first time it runs, then caches it on your device. This is a standard request to fetch the font file and does not include any personal information about you. The only other network use is the in-app purchase flow described above, which is handled by Google Play.
The app's "Backup & restore" feature lets you copy your data as text so you can save it yourself (for example, to your notes or cloud storage). Where you choose to store that backup is entirely up to you and is outside the app's control.
The app does not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children.
