Professional Portfolio
I am Maintenance and Technical Training Manager (MTTM) at Constellation's Clinton Power Station (CPS). I am also a US Navy veteran and have been in the field of learning and development for 16 years.
During my 12 years of service, I wore many hats, as one tends to do in the military. I was a maintenance technician, a reactor operator and team supervisor but my last and favorite role was as a Nuclear Field “A” School (NFAS) technical instructor. As an instructor, I taught basic electrical theory and instrumentation and controls equipment maintenance. Throughout the three years when I taught at NFAS I had a direct hand in developing hundreds of future naval reactor operators and maintenance technicians, and this is where I developed a passion for passing on my knowledge to the next generation.
I have been blessed since leaving military service in that I was able to find employment doing what I love at River Bend Station as a senior technical instructor and training supervisor since 2013. During this time, I grew a keen sense of ownership when it comes to the quality and effectiveness of the training materials which I have a hand in designing and developing. In 2022, I accepted my current role as a manager and have brought my skills to CPS, providing oversight for the maintenance and technical training team.
Among the many things that I am driven about in my field is the effective utilization of technology in the classroom and the professional development of myself and my team.
