Hyeongjun Choi (b. 1997) graduated from the Department of Oriental Painting at Seoul National University. His practice is grounded in direct observation on site and the use of site-responsive installations devised as tools for observation. Through these processes, Choi creates visual records of the formal transformations of natural landscapes, translating climatic and dynamic phenomena encountered on site into compositional elements.
