Backstory 

Milo grew up in a loving, art-focused household in Melbourne, Australia, surrounded by creativity and constant stimulation. He is the middle child, born alongside his twin sister Maeve and often kept in line by his older sister Sienna, who never hesitated to drag him back to reality whenever his ideas got too chaotic. His transition as a trans man was smooth, healthy, and fully supported by his family, who treated it as just another part of who he was rather than something to question or define him by. 

Before art ever entered the picture, Milo was known for something entirely different—basketball. A naturally competitive and highly skilled player, he built his identity around movement, instinct, and precision on the court. That path ended abruptly after a serious knee injury, forcing him into a long and frustrating recovery period that stripped away both his routine and his sense of direction.

It was during this time that his mother, Aria, noticed something unusual: Milo perceived the world differently. Colors had weight, sound had shape—synesthesia, subtle but constant. Instead of letting him sit in frustration, she introduced him to painting as a form of therapy. What started as a quiet recovery tool slowly evolved into something far more consuming: obsession, expression, and eventually, identity. Art replaced sport not as a downgrade, but as a different kind of competition—one where Milo could still push limits, still chase perfection, still lose himself in the challenge.

Outside the studio, he found another form of clarity through outdoor rock climbing with his father, Ethan. It became their shared ritual: no noise, no crowd, just movement against stone and the sharp focus of survival in small moments. It helped ground him when his mind became too loud. 

At Berylton University, Milo is known around the East Wing as someone who runs on tea, stubborn pride, impossible deadlines, and an unhealthy amount of time spent buried in studio chaos. He rarely sleeps properly, argues like it’s a reflex, and treats every creative disagreement like a match he refuses to lose.
