Year 5 had a great time at Pymmes Brook, where they rolled up their sleeves (and trousers) and became real-life geographers! With metre sticks, measuring tapes and stopwatches, they measured the river’s width, speed and depth. The children did Church Hill proud, demonstrating fantastic teamwork and impressive data-collecting skills, all with a smile on their face and water in their boots! Well done, Year 5!
It was wonderful to see so many children taking part in Red Nose Day by wearing something red and bringing in their contributions. The enthusiasm and kindness shown by our pupils made us all feel very proud. Every donation will go towards the incredible work of Comic Relief, supporting people in the UK and around the world who are facing challenging circumstances.
Thank you to everyone who helped make such a positive difference.
The Rock Steady concert was truly incredible—what an unforgettable showcase of talent, energy and passion! A huge thank you to all the families who showed up and supported so enthusiastically, your encouragement means everything and helps these young musicians shine. Each and every one of them should feel incredibly proud of what they achieved! Well done, Church Hill Rock Stars!
Minibus Driver Volunteers Needed
We are currently looking for parent volunteers to support the school by helping with minibus driving for trips, events, and activities throughout the year.
Volunteering as a minibus driver is a fantastic way to contribute to school life and help ensure our pupils can continue to enjoy a wide range of enriching experiences outside the classroom.
If you are interested in becoming a volunteer driver, please let the school office know. We would be delighted to hear from you and can provide further information about the requirements involved.
Thank you for your continued support.
Thank you for your support and participation in the Easter Egg hunt and last week’s gift sale. We recently donated £800 to the school which they want to spend on new books for the KS1 pupils. Thank you and best wishes from the CHSA.
Many thanks

Dance Festival
After weeks of practice, the big night finally arrived on Monday, when 19 of our incredibly talented children headed to the Arts Depot in Finchley to take part in this year’s Barnet Dance Festival.
Opening the show, the children brought nothing but energy and delivered an incredible performance. They truly set the bar high for the rest of the evening!
I could not be prouder of each and every one of them. They gave it their all and were each other’s biggest cheerleaders throughout the entire process. The children played a huge role in creating this piece from start to finish—choosing the music, style of dance, and costumes. This performance gave them the freedom to create a powerful routine that was a true representation of themselves. Naming the routine “Dance is Power” could not have been more fitting.
Thank you to all of the children for making this experience so enjoyable and for giving it everything you had. My lunchtimes are not the same without our rehearsals!
A huge thank you to all of the families for your support, both on the day and in the lead-up with costumes. I would also like to extend a special thank you to Mrs McTeare and Mr Reismann for their help on the day in ensuring everything ran smoothly. Thanks to their support, we were able to enjoy every second without any stress.
It was a fantastic day, and seeing our incredible children on stage absolutely nailing their routine filled me with pride. The audience could clearly see just how much they loved every moment of this unforgettable experience.

Health and Safety
For health and safety reasons, children are not permitted to wear sunglasses or use umbrellas while at school. If these items are needed for the journey to and from school, they should be handed to parents or carers at the classroom door and returned again at the end of the day if required. During hot weather, children are encouraged to bring sun hats or baseball caps to wear in the playground; however, they will not be permitted to wear these inside the school building. Thank you for your continued support in helping us keep all children safe.
