Parent Newsletter Date 13.03.2026
Thank you to everybody who purchased Mothering Sunday gifts. We made £317 profit for the school. Thanks and best wishes from the CHSA.
Thank you to all the parents and carers who supported our Travelling Book Fair by purchasing books. We really appreciate your patience while we get to grips with the new online payment system.
Every purchase made at the Book Fair helps the school earn rewards that can be used to buy new books for our classrooms and library, so your support truly makes a difference.
The Book Fair will be back with us again soon, so there will be another opportunity to browse and purchase some fantastic books.
Thank you again for helping us encourage a love of reading in our school community.
Our Next Oracy Challenge!
How to Eat a Creme Egg
To bring a little light-hearted fun to the end of term, our next oracy challenge will focus on giving clear instructions.
The title of the challenge is: How to Eat a Creme Egg!
Just like our previous joke challenge, you can prepare your ideas at home.
Your task is to think about how you would explain to someone step-by-step how to eat a creme egg. When you share your ideas in class, remember to:
· Give your instructions in the correct order
· Use clear language
· Use imperative (bossy) verbs (e.g. open, bite, scoop, peel)
· Speak clearly so your audience understands
You can be as creative, imaginative and inventive as you like! Maybe you have a special technique or a funny way to eat your creme egg.
During the week beginning Monday 23rd March 2026, you will have time in class to share your instructions with your classmates. Teachers will also be selecting a set of instruction to follow, so make sure your directions are clear enough for a teacher to successfully eat their creme egg!
There will be an Easter-themed prize for one child in each class for the most inventive and creative instructions!
