Climate/Paleoclimate Modeling
Climate/Paleoclimate Modeling
Hello!
I am a fifth-year PhD candidate in the Climate, Water, and Energy lab at Rice University with Professor Sylvia Dee. I study climate dynamics and paleoclimate modeling. At Rice, I have been working on a proxy/model comparison project for the last 21,000 years of African climate, using a proxy system model of lake surface temperature.
Prior to graduate school, I worked with Professor Jonathan Weare at NYU, where I simulated tropical cyclones with the Weather Research and Forecasting model. Before that, I studied mathematics at the University of Chicago, and I am always looking for ways to bring mathematical tools to bear on problems in climate science.
My brother, Max, is an investigative journalist and writer. You should check out his website! Or, order his book Among the Bros.
