Major Choice & Alternate Interests

I chose pre-veterinary medicine as my major due to an interest in animals. I was always curious about animals in my younger years and when I found out pet doctors was an actual career, I was very passionate to pursue it. I hope to become a veterinarian and possibly become an owner of my own clinic one day.

My second choice of major would probably be Forensic Psychology. I would choose this as my second choice of major because I am very interested in a killer's psyche. I would love to take a deep dive into their mind and find out the reason as to why they commit atrocious acts to others.

I have enjoyed my English course and also my Agriculture course. My English course is very simple, and it adds to the improvement of my writing skills. I have also enjoyed my Agriculture course due to the helpful tips the coursework provides.
Biology 1201 and Plane Trigonometry have been the most challenging for me because the coursework is a lot and it is very easy to get lost behind.
Moving forward, some learning strategies I plan to utilize is to take practice tests before the actual exam, spaced studying, and also peer studying. Campus resources I would use would be the Wellness coaching resource to help with stressful situations.

Some admission requirements include:

- Math 1021
- Chem 1201
- 24 hours earned
- and to have an overall GPA of 2.0
After the fall semester, I would have still need to complete Chemistry 1201 to gain admission to my intended college.

Some communication skills are important for our professional development. This is important because employers prioritize candidates with powerful communication skills.

The LSU Communicator Certificate is a non-degree certificate issued by the Office of Academic Affairs. Students must earn a B- or higher in a series of C-I courses to obtain the LSU communicator certificate.
