I teach mathematics as a creative, human-centered discipline—one that every student can understand and even enjoy with the right support. My classrooms are interactive, inclusive spaces where students are encouraged to think deeply, ask bold questions, and see themselves as capable mathematical thinkers.
I use collaborative strategies like think-pair-share, concept mapping, and storytelling to make abstract ideas tangible. I prioritize diverse forms of assessment—including projects and presentations—to reduce test anxiety and connect math to students’ real-world interests.
Equity, relevance, and communication are at the heart of my approach. Whether unpacking algorithmic bias or exploring voting systems, I aim to empower students with mathematical tools for understanding and shaping the world around them.
