Mr. Stewart began his career with Chapel Hill ISD in the Spring of 2019. He is currently the Head Junior High Band Director at Chapel Hill Junior High and teaches the Honors Band. He also teaches 6th-grade trombone and tuba class at Kissam Intermediate and assists with the High School Band.
After Highschool, Mr. Stewart decided to begin his undergraduate work at Tyler Junior College, where he studied under the advisement of Tom and Heather Mensch and Jeremy Strickland. At TJC, Mr. Stewart spent much of his time improving his craft with the Apache Marching Band, Wind Ensemble, Concert Band, and Tuba-Euphonium Ensemble. While there, he was also a member of the English Honor Society, Sigma Kappa Delta. Mr. Stewart graduated from Tyler Junior College with an Associate of Arts, Cum Laude, before continuing his education at The University of Texas at Tyler.
In 2018, Mr. Stewart earned a bachelor’s degree in Music Education, Magna Cum Laude, from The University of Texas at Tyler. During his years at the university, Mr. Stewart has studied under the tutelage of Mr. Danny Vinson and Drs. Jeffrey Emge, Jeremy McBain, and Sarah Roberts. He was highly involved in the Music Department as a member of the UT Tyler Wind Ensemble, Jazz Band, Brass Quintet, and Low Brass Quartet. Mr. Stewart also worked as an undergraduate assistant in the Music Department's main office. Additionally, he was an active member of the International Honor Society in Education, Kappa Delta Pi Rho Rho Chapter, and the treasurer of Kappa Kappa Psi, Lambda Pi Chapter. He completed his degree by student teaching at Lindale ISD.
In May 2020, Mr. Stewart earned his Master of Education degree with Principal Certification from The University of Texas at Tyler. His Action research thesis paper was on The Necessity of Closing the Gaps in Economically Disadvantaged Schools.
Mr. Stewart was recently named Chapel Hill Junior High Teacher of the Year, Chapel Hill ISD Secondary Teacher of the Year, and Chapel HILL ISD District Teacher of the Year.
Mr. Stewart is passionate about working with children, music, and learning new things. Outside of his musical studies and involvement, Mr. Stewart has volunteered with the non-profit organizations East Texas Food Bank and Keep Whitehouse Beautiful, as well as his church's Vacation Bible School. Mr. Stewart's hobbies include maintaining saltwater and freshwater aquariums, swimming, traveling, doing lawn work, and sleeping when his schedule allows.
Mr. Stewart is a native of Whitehouse, having graduated from Whitehouse High School. His professional affiliations include the Texas Music Educators Association, the Texas Bandmasters Association, the Association of Texas Small School Bands, the National Association of Military Marching Bands, and the Young Band Directors of Texas.
Ms. Garcia joined Chapel Hill ISD in 2021 as the Assistant Junior High Band Director and currently leads the Symphonic Band. Her other duties include teaching the Kissam Beginner Clarinet & Flute class along with assisting all bands at Chapel Hill High School.
Ms. Garcia graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University with a Bachelor's in Music Education. While at SFA, Ms. Garcia studied clarinet with Dr. Christopher Ayer. She was active in the Wind Ensemble and LMB Marching Band under the direction of Dr. David Campo.
Prior to Chapel Hill ISD, Ms. Garcia spent three years at Kilgore ISD as the Assistant High School Band Director and was In charge of the High School Symphonic Band.
In her free time, Ms. Garcia loves to spend time with family & friends, enjoys shopping, going out to eat, and getting coffee.
Ms. Garcia is a native of Center, having graduated from Center High School. Her professional affiliations include the Texas Music Educators Association, the Texas Bandmasters Association, and the Young Band Directors of Texas.
Mrs. Willis has been with Chapel Hill ISD since 2019 and currently serves as the Kissam Intermediate Band Coordinator, conducts the Junior High Concert Band, and assists with the High School Band. Previously, she taught at Queen City ISD, Carlisle ISD, and Henderson ISD.
Mrs. Willis graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University in 2012 with her bachelor's degree in music education and is certified in Music EC-12.
Mrs. Willis is happily married to her husband, Austin Willis, and during her free time, Mrs. Willis loves to read, hang out with her cats, and play board games.
Mrs. Willis is a native of Austin, TX, having graduated from Westwood High School. Her professional affiliations include the Association of Texas Small School Bands and the Texas Music Educators Association.

Mr. Ross joined the team in 2020 as Director of Percussion for Chapel Hill ISD. In this role, he oversees all percussion activities in grades 6-12. Before this position, he served as the Director of Bands at All Saints Episcopal School in Tyler, TX, and as Assistant Director at Jacksonville ISD, Carlisle ISD, and Winona ISD.
Mr. Ross holds a Bachelor of Music Education degree from The University of Texas at Tyler and an Associate of Arts degree in Music from Tyler Junior College. During his time at Tyler Junior College, he was the drumline captain.
Mr. Ross is happily married to his wife, Kim Ross, and likes to spend time with Teaka, their dog. His hobbies include video games, cooking, going to Stars games, watching The Office, and traveling with his wife to try all kinds of food.
Mr. Ross is a native of Gilmer, TX, having graduated from Gilmer High School. His professional affiliations include Kappa Kappa Psi, the Association of Texas Small School Bands, the Texas Music Educators Association, and the Percussive Arts Society.

Mr. Hewitt is the Director of Bands and Fine Arts Coordinator at Chapel Hill ISD in Tyler, Texas. The Chapel Hill High School Band is a consistent UIL Sweepstakes and “Best in Class” Award winner. The Chapel Hill High School Marching Band was recently named silver medalist in the UIL State Military Marching Contest. In 2022, the Chapel Hill High School Honors band placed 6th in the TMEA 4A Honor Band process. In 2019 the Chapel Hill High School Honors band was named Class 4A State OPS Winners in the March category.
Mr. Hewitt graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University and began his teaching career at Union Grove. Later he was an Assistant Band Director and Junior High Head Band Director in Whitehouse, Texas. In 2011, Mr. Hewitt was named the Head Band Director for Chapel Hill ISD.
Mr. Hewitt is happily married to his wife Kaite, who is currently the Drill Team Instructor for Chapel Hill ISD, and they have three wonderful children. During his free time, Mr. Hewitt loves traveling with family, watching horror movies, cooking, and doing yard work.
Mr. Hewitt is a native of White Oak, TX, having graduated from White Oak High School. Mr. Hewitt maintains professional affiliations with the Texas Music Educators Association, Texas Music Adjudicators Association, and Association of Small School Bands.
