Hello and Welcome! My name is Chira, and I am a freelance artist and aspiring author. I'm a self-taught illustrator who does pen illustrations, watercolours, digital artwork, animation, and window drawings. I'm also part of several fandoms, which are: Dune by Frank Herbert, A Song of Ice and Fire, Game of Thrones, and House of the Dragon by George R.R. Martin (ASOIAF & GOT/HOTD), the Three-Body Problem trilogy, Hollow Knight the video game, Ghibli Studios films, the Arcane animated series, Star Wars, Into the Spider-Verse/ Across the Spider-Verse, and All Tomorrows. From them, I draw inspiration for my artwork and writing.
To give you a bit of history, I have been drawing ever since I was little. It is a passion that stayed with me throughout my life. I started to paint digitally around the time I joined Sphaera Magazine, where at first I was the only illustrator, then the Head Illustrator, and then part-time illustrator until I started doing commissions. Once I had art commissions, I let go of the extracurricular activity that brought me a lot of experience and joy. You can find my Sphaera artwork on https://sphaeramag.com .
For my digital art and animations, I use the app Procreate.art. Regarding real-life paintings, I use watercolour pigments from Winsor and Newton, acrylics and gauche paints, and of course, chalk markers for my window drawings. The chalk markers are special because you can erase the drawing on the window at any time with a wet napkin. This makes it easier to customise as well as change the drawings to fit one's preferences.
