Those are beyond simple chips. Bloody hell! There is a product that melts paint into itself that the car crazy guys use called Langka. Those may be well beyond touch up. Those are huge chunks of paint!!!!

Matte clear coat shouldn't chip more frequently than gloss clear coat. I've done both and haven't had any complaints. I remember I painted a grey Ducati ST2 motorcycle with flat clear and it stood up well for years. Flat clear is the exact same as glossy clear, except that an additive is added to the mix. It actually sprays shiny and then flattens out as it dries. The biggest downside is that you can't sand and polish dirt, blemishes, and imperfections out of it. It's just as strong as gloss clear though.

Those are some pretty nasty chips down to the gelcoat. Looks like it hasn't gotten too deep though that they can't be fixed but it's probably best to have them fixed professional by a painter/mask refurbished. If it was a NME 8 id say take a crack at it, but the Pro CCM bucket deserves the proper fix.

A company has offered to send a helmet wrap for review purposes. Any thoughts on something to fill in the chips with so that the surface is smooth for application purposes? After I am done with the wrap, I can get the whole shell redone properly... or maybe even painted

So besides obsessing over wall colors, I decided I needed to do something useful with some of my paint chips. Pinterest is always abuzz with the latest trends, and paint chip art has been popular for a while now, so I decided it was time to jump on that train. This project cost me zero dollars, which is always my favorite type of project.

Got a few small stone chips that I want to address before I attempt a ceramic coating on my 2012 Boxster S and was looking around for the best way (other than respray!) to make them look good. The car is Aqua Blue metallic and so the stone chips show up easily.

Came across this video of a guy using a very fine paint tool to fill in loads of stone chips on an old 911. Anyone tried something like this - it seems to generate tiny little drops of paint that you keep dotting until the area is filled and avoids the usual big blob from a standard touch up paint brush.

Go to an auto store and buy a spray can of black exhaust paint, it is not super shiny so blends well with the camera. Clean the mark with nail varnish remover, then spray the paint into the lid, once you have a little pool of paint take a toothpick and get a drop of paint, put it in the middle of the chip, then get another and work out filling the chip to the same level, you need to keep the damage facing upwards. Then just put somewhere warm and leave to dry.

I have been all around the paint can multiple times. I made a tower to the top and collected the RS. But the chip is not in the location it is reported to be in. Did it move or change? I lowered my graphics and raised the graphics but still couldn't see it. I have abandoned and accepted the quest but it still doesn't show.

I have seen the chip spawn "under" the paint spilled on the ground , the only way to spot it, is to look for a spot in the paint that looks like it is glowing kinda greenish. It was hard to tell it was there , but it was able to be picked up.

You will need to purchase a touch-up paint pen to address the chipped paint. You can buff out scratches with sandpaper, but paint chips require applying new paint. Touch-up pens are ideal for repairing small chips.

The simple answer is always. You should always repair any paint chips in your car. The sooner the better. While the chips might look like straightforward cosmetic imperfections, they can lead to costly damage, including rust.

If you want to avoid the hassle of stone paint chips, consider installing paint protection film (PPF) on your car. This creates a long-lasting barrier of protection against chips, scratches, swirl marks, and other damages.
