I work at the interface of biophysics, mathematical modeling, and simulation, with a focus on complex biological systems such as cancer metastasis and DNA replication. My research aims to develop theoretical, physics-based models to understand how biological systems evolve and respond to biomechanical forces from their surroundings. Since irregularities in these processes can lead to disease, insights from my models may help improve drug efficiency and enable targeted drug delivery.
My interest in biological systems began during junior college, driven by the rich physical principles underlying their function. This motivated me to study physics at the undergraduate level and later pursue soft and active matter, biophysics, with the goal of understanding biological phenomena through physical laws and mathematical frameworks.
