ChimpVR (“we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes how information is collected, used, stored, and shared when you use games, applications, websites, and related services operated by ChimpVR that link to this Policy (collectively, the “Services”).
This Policy applies to Fun Baboon Horror on Meta Quest and to other ChimpVR games and applications that link to it. Features and data processing vary between Services. References to optional functionality apply only where that functionality is enabled. Where necessary, we provide additional notices for particular features.
For privacy questions or data deletion requests, contact chimpvr.official@gmail.com.
What we collect: platform account information (such as your user ID, display name, and age group), gameplay and multiplayer data, voice or text communications where enabled, purchase records, and technical information.
Why: to run the game and its multiplayer, social, and purchase features, keep players safe, and provide support.
What we don’t do: we do not sell personal information, and we do not use Meta Horizon user IDs, profile information, or age group information for third-party behavioral advertising.
Deleting your data: anyone, in any country or region, can request deletion free of charge by emailing chimpvr.official@gmail.com. See Section 13.
Through authorized platform integrations, we may receive platform user IDs, usernames, display names, permitted profile information, authentication proofs, age group information, and purchase entitlements.
These details help us verify access, maintain player accounts, provide platform features, and apply age-appropriate restrictions. Meta’s User Age Group feature provides an age category rather than your exact date of birth.
Depending on the Service, we may process:
Player identifiers and account status;
Progress, settings, achievements, and scores;
Inventories, cosmetics, virtual currency, and purchase entitlements;
Room, match, and session identifiers;
Connection information and gameplay events;
Avatar, headset, hand, or controller movement needed for gameplay and synchronization; and
Friend, invitation, or presence information where those features are authorized and enabled.
Information intentionally displayed through multiplayer or social features, such as display names, avatars, actions, and leaderboard entries, may be visible to other players.
Where communication features are available, we process voice audio or text messages and related technical information to deliver communications between players. Microphone access is subject to device permissions.
Real-time voice transmission is distinct from recording conversations for moderation or other purposes. Any separate voice recording, transcription, or automated analysis feature will be explained before activation, with any permissions or consent required by applicable law.
Some Services support screenshots, virtual cameras, gameplay recording, streaming, or sharing through tools such as LIV Creator Kit.
Captured content may include gameplay footage, avatars, display names, movements, and audio, depending on the selected feature and settings. Technical information and capture or streaming metadata may also be processed.
Other players may include your in-game presence or audible communications in content they capture. Publicly shared content may be viewed and redistributed by others.
A virtual in-game camera does not itself imply access to a headset’s physical cameras or real-world surroundings. Any feature requiring that access will have a separate explanation and relevant permission request.
We may process IP addresses, device identifiers, platform and operating system information, application versions, connection events, crash reports, diagnostic logs, and security information.
When you contact us or submit feedback, reports, or support requests, we process the information you provide, such as your email address, player identifier, messages, screenshots, or logs.
Please do not submit passwords, authentication tokens, full payment card details, or unnecessary sensitive information.
Fun Baboon Horror uses the following Meta Horizon platform features. We use the information each feature provides only for the purposes listed below.
User ID (your Meta Horizon user ID): to identify your player account, save your progress, and verify your purchases.
User Profile (your display name and permitted profile information): to show your name to other players in multiplayer rooms and on leaderboards.
Friends (your friends list and their presence): to show which friends are playing and let you join them.
Invites (invitation details and the room you are invited to): to send and receive invitations to multiplayer rooms.
Deep Linking (room, match, and session identifiers in the link): to open the game directly into the right room or match when you accept an invite or join a friend.
User Age Group (an age category, not your date of birth): to apply age-appropriate restrictions.
In-App Purchases and Downloadable Content (transaction references, item details, and entitlement records): to verify purchases and deliver the items and content you bought. Meta processes the payment.
Subscriptions (subscription status): to check whether your subscription is active and provide its benefits.
We do not use Meta Horizon user IDs, profile information, or age group information for third-party behavioral advertising.
We process information to:
Authenticate players and operate accounts;
Provide gameplay, multiplayer, communications, and social features;
Maintain progress, settings, and virtual-item ownership;
Verify purchases and deliver content;
Support capture, recording, and sharing features;
Apply age-appropriate restrictions;
Respond to support requests and player reports;
Diagnose errors and improve reliability;
Prevent fraud, abuse, cheating, and unauthorized access;
Handle privacy and deletion requests; and
Comply with applicable obligations and establish or defend legal claims.
We do not sell personal information.
We use artificial intelligence tools in connection with development and operation of our Services. The use of AI to create code, artwork, or other development materials does not, by itself, mean that player information is submitted to AI providers.
Where an enabled feature processes user information through AI, processing may support the specific function explained to the user, such as responding to a support request, summarizing submitted feedback, assisting moderation, or providing an interactive feature.
Information involved may include submitted text, feedback, reports, relevant gameplay context, and technical metadata, depending on the feature. Voice, recordings, or transcripts are included only where the corresponding processing has been specifically disclosed and lawfully enabled.
Before introducing such processing, we will identify the applicable provider and explain the relevant information, purpose, and any material retention or model-training use through this Policy or a supplementary notice. Required permissions or consent will be obtained before processing begins.
This Policy does not grant blanket permission to send all player communications to AI providers or use them for general-purpose model training.
AI outputs may be inaccurate. Users may contact us to question an AI-assisted response or moderation outcome.
The following providers may support our Services. Not every provider is used in every game.
AWS supports cloud hosting, backend services, databases, and storage. Information processed through this infrastructure may include account identifiers, gameplay records, purchase entitlements, and technical or security logs.
Further information: AWS Privacy Notice.
Photon supports multiplayer connectivity, session management, gameplay synchronization, and voice or text communication where integrated.
Information processed may include IP addresses, player identifiers, session information, gameplay data, and communications associated with enabled features.
Further information: Photon Data Protection Information.
Vivox supports voice and text communications where integrated. Relevant information may include developer-assigned player identifiers, device identifiers, truncated IP addresses, and voice or text data.
Processing and retention depend on the enabled functionality and configuration. Using Vivox does not necessarily mean that separate recording or moderation services are enabled.
Further information: Unity Game Player and App User Privacy Policy.
LIV integrations support virtual cameras, screenshots, recording, streaming, and creator features.
Depending on the integration, LIV may process device and application information, relevant identifiers, usage information, diagnostics, capture or streaming metadata, and content associated with the selected feature.
Content sent to an external streaming or sharing platform is also subject to that platform’s privacy practices.
Further information: LIV Privacy Policy.
Where third-party AI services receive personal information, the applicable provider and processing will be identified in the relevant feature notice or an update to this Policy before that use begins.
Meta and other distribution platforms independently process information for their accounts, stores, payments, and platform features under their own privacy policies.
Where providers process information on our behalf, applicable service agreements and data-processing arrangements govern that processing. Provider privacy notices supplement, rather than replace, our explanation of how information is used in the Services.
Some Services offer paid content, virtual items, downloadable content, or subscriptions.
Payments are handled by the applicable platform or payment provider. We may receive transaction references, item details, entitlement records, and purchase or subscription status to verify transactions, provide content, and handle support.
We do not receive complete payment card details from purchases processed through Meta’s payment system.
We may share relevant information:
With providers supporting the Services;
With platforms for authentication, purchases, and requested functionality;
With other players through multiplayer, communications, social, or creator features;
With authorities where required by applicable law or valid legal process;
Where necessary to prevent harm or establish or defend legal claims; or
In connection with a business transfer, subject to applicable safeguards.
We seek to limit sharing to information relevant to the purpose.
Depending on the activity and applicable law, processing is based on performing a contract or providing a requested service, complying with legal obligations, legitimate interests such as security and abuse prevention where permitted, or consent where required.
Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it. Withdrawal does not affect processing lawfully carried out beforehand.
Information may be processed outside your country of residence.
AWS-backed infrastructure may process information in the United States. Other processing locations depend on the providers, regions, and features used.
Where required, international transfers are subject to appropriate legal mechanisms and safeguards.
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy.
Retention depends on account activity, functionality, information type, security needs, and applicable obligations. Progress and entitlements may be maintained while an account is active. Communications and diagnostic information may have different retention periods according to the relevant service configuration.
When information is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it. Limited information may remain where necessary for legal obligations, security, fraud prevention, or disputes. Backup copies may remain temporarily until overwritten under applicable backup cycles.
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures intended to protect information, including appropriate access restrictions.
No internet-connected service or storage system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Wherever you live, you can ask us to access, correct, or delete the information we hold about you. Depending on applicable law, you may also have the right to restrict or object to certain processing, request portability of your information, withdraw consent, or complain to a competent data protection authority.
You can manage relevant device permissions and available in-service controls. Disabling a permission may prevent the associated feature from working.
Contact chimpvr.official@gmail.com to submit a request. We may reasonably verify your identity before acting on a request.
Any user, regardless of their country or region, can ask us to delete the data we hold about them at any time. Deletion is free of charge.
To request deletion:
Email chimpvr.official@gmail.com with the subject “Data Deletion Request”.
Include the game name (for example, Fun Baboon Horror) and your Meta Horizon username or in-game display name so we can find your account. Do not send your password.
We may ask a follow-up question to confirm that the account belongs to you.
We will complete verified requests within 30 days and confirm by email when the deletion is done. Where appropriate, we will coordinate with providers processing information on our behalf.
What we may keep: we may retain limited information only where necessary to comply with legal obligations, prevent fraud, cheating, or security incidents, or resolve disputes. Backup copies may remain until they are overwritten under normal backup cycles. If we keep any information after your request, we will tell you what we kept and why.
Deleting information held by us does not automatically delete a Meta account, cancel a platform subscription, or remove content independently published by other users. Platform purchases, subscriptions, and refunds follow the applicable platform’s procedures.
Each Service’s intended age group and eligibility requirements are described in its store listing and relevant notices.
We may use platform-provided age information to apply appropriate restrictions. Content ratings do not replace account eligibility rules or parental consent requirements.
Where parental consent or additional protections are required, they must be in place before the relevant processing occurs.
Parents or guardians with concerns may contact chimpvr.official@gmail.com. We will investigate and take appropriate action where information has been processed contrary to applicable requirements.
Website hosts may process technical information and use cookies under their own policies. Any additional tracking introduced by us will be explained through appropriate notices and consent controls where required.
External websites, community platforms, and linked services have their own privacy practices. This Policy does not cover their independent processing.
We may update this Policy when our Services, practices, or applicable requirements change. We will revise the date above and provide additional notice or obtain consent where required.
Additional ChimpVR games may use this Policy where their actual practices fall within its scope. Materially different processing requires an updated Policy or supplementary notice.
