This Privacy Policy describes Our policies and procedures on the collection, use, and disclosure of Your information when You use the Meow-se Code (the "Extension" or "Service") and tells You about Your privacy rights and how the law protects You.
We are committed to protecting Your privacy. The Extension is designed to help You manage your browser tabs locally on Your device. By using the Service, You agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
Interpretation
The words of which the initial letter is capitalized have meanings defined under the following conditions. The following definitions shall have the same meaning regardless of whether they appear in singular or in plural.
Definitions
For the purposes of this Privacy Policy:
Company (referred to as either "the Company", "We", "Us" or "Our" in this Agreement) refers to the developer of the Meow-se Code.
Country refers to: Malaysia.
Device means any device that can access the Service such as a computer.
Personal Data is any information that relates to an identified or identifiable individual.
Service refers to the Meow-se Code.
Service Provider means any natural or legal person who processes the data on behalf of the Company. It refers to third-party companies or individuals employed by the Company to facilitate the Service, to provide the Service on behalf of the Company, to perform services related to the Service or to assist the Company in analyzing how the Service is used.
Usage Data refers to data collected automatically, either generated by the use of the Service or from the Service infrastructure itself (for example, crash reports or diagnostic data).
You means the individual accessing or using the Service.
Types of Data Collected
Personal Data
The Meow-se Code does not require You to provide any personally identifiable information such as Your name, email address, or phone number.
The Extension operates primarily locally within Your Chrome browser. It uses Chrome's Tabs API and related permissions to read and manage Your open tabs, tab groups, and related browsing activity (such as tab titles and URLs) on Your device only. This data is not sent to Us or any third party unless You explicitly choose to use a feature that requires it (for example, cloud sync or backup, if available in future versions).
Usage Data
We may collect limited anonymous Usage Data automatically to help improve the Extension. This may include:
Crash reports or error logs (if enabled).
Basic aggregated information about how the Extension is used (e.g., number of tabs managed), which does not identify You personally.
No browsing history, tab URLs, or other website data is transmitted to Our servers by default. All tab management happens locally in Your browser's storage.
Use of Your Personal Data
The Company may use any collected data (if any) for the following purposes:
To provide and maintain our Service, including to monitor the usage of our Extension.
To improve and develop the Extension (e.g., fixing bugs or adding features based on anonymous usage trends).
To respond to Your support requests or feedback.
For other purposes: such as data analysis, identifying usage trends, and evaluating and improving our Service and Your experience.
We do not use Your tab data or browsing activity for advertising, profiling, or any purpose unrelated to providing the tab management functionality.
Sharing of Your Personal Data
We do not sell, rent, or trade Your personal information or tab data.
We may share Your information only in the following limited situations:
With Service Providers: We may share anonymous diagnostic data with trusted service providers (e.g., crash reporting tools) solely to improve the Extension. These providers are obligated to keep Your data confidential and secure.
For business transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, Your information may be transferred with appropriate protections.
With Your consent: We may disclose information for any other purpose with Your explicit consent.
Legal requirements: If required by law, court order, or government request.
Any local data (such as Your saved tab sessions or groups) is stored only on Your device and remains under Your control. You can delete it at any time through the Extension's settings or by clearing Your browser data.
We retain any anonymous Usage Data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Policy or as required by law.
Since the Extension processes data locally by default, Your tab information is not transferred outside Your device.
If any data is ever transferred (e.g., for optional cloud features), it will only occur with Your consent and with appropriate security measures. Such data may be processed in locations outside Malaysia where data protection laws may differ. We will take reasonable steps to ensure Your data is treated securely.
You have full control over Your data:
All tab-related data is stored locally in Your browser. You can delete saved sessions, groups, or all data directly in the Extension's interface.
You can uninstall the Extension at any time, which will remove all associated local data (depending on Your browser settings).
If You have any questions or want to request deletion of any data We may hold (e.g., support communications), please contact Us.
We take reasonable measures to protect any data We handle. However, remember that no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure. Since most processing occurs locally in Your browser, the security of Your tab data largely depends on Your device's and browser's security practices.
Our Service does not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If We become aware that We have collected such data, We will take steps to remove it.
Our Extension or related pages may contain links to other websites or services that are not operated by Us. We strongly advise You to review the Privacy Policy of every external site You visit. We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party sites.
We may update Our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify You of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy within the Extension (if possible) and on Our website or store listing. We will also update the "Last updated" date at the top of this Privacy Policy.
You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes. Changes to this Privacy Policy are effective when they are posted.
