Childhood Fairy Tales Through Images and Text

The project aims to develop students’ competences through structured activities based on world literature and creative expression. By participating in the project activities, students will: - improve their reading comprehension skills by understanding and interpreting fairy tales and literary texts from different cultural backgrounds; - develop written communication skills by producing short texts, descriptions, and creative responses to stories; - strengthen their digital skills by creating simple presentations and visual content (for older students using digital tools such as Canva); - develop artistic and creative skills by illustrating scenes and characters from literary works; - practice critical thinking skills by comparing characters, identifying story elements, and expressing personal opinions; Through these competences, students will actively engage with literature in a creative and meaningful way, while collaborating with peers from different countries and improving both language and expressive abilities. 

The main purpose of  Childhood Fairy Tales Through Images and Text is to foster a creative environment where students can connect with world literature and with each other. Our project is driven by these core objectives:

• Development of digital skills through the use of collaborative tools (such as Canva) to create presentations, visual content, and our final digital e-book.

• Strengthening critical thinking by encouraging students to practice identifying narrative elements, comparing characters, and articulating personal opinions and cultural perspectives.

• Promotion of intercultural collaboration.

• Presenting students' work by creating a tangible final result—a collaborative digital e-book, visible and accessible to the wider school community.

The main expected result of the project is the creation of a collaborative digital e-book designed in Canva, developed jointly by all partner schools. The e-book will include students’ drawings, written texts, and creative reinterpretations of fairy tales and childhood stories, combined and co-created through international collaboration. The final e-book will be published on the eTwinning TwinSpace platform and shared with the wider school community, making the results visible and accessible to all partners. It will also serve as a tangible outcome of students’ collaborative work and intercultural learning experience. 

Our project culminated in an interactive Flipbook, co-created by students from Romania, Turkey, and Jordan. Designed using Canva and transformed into a digital flipbook, it features a collection of student-made illustrations, creative stories, and cultural interpretations from participants aged 9 to 17.

This e-book is a tangible symbol of our international friendship. It empowered our students, boosting their confidence and proving that, regardless of age or background, their creativity and voices can unite us all.
