ChikiFund ("we," "our," or "us") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information.
ChikiFund is a mobile application designed to help users track and monitor shared investments within small business groups or family groups. ChikiFund is a record-keeping and calculation tool only. The app does not process, transfer, hold, or manage real money and is not connected to any bank, payment processor, or financial institution.
By using ChikiFund, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
2. Information We Collect
When you create an account, we collect:
Passwords are securely stored in hashed form and cannot be viewed by us.
To provide the app's functionality, we store information that users manually enter, including:
Group names
Contribution amounts
Inventory item names, quantities, and costs
Recorded sales amounts and prices
Profit and loss calculations
Investment requests
Ownership percentage calculations
All financial figures stored within ChikiFund are user-entered records only and do not represent actual transactions processed by the app.

When using the app without an internet connection, pending actions may be stored temporarily on your device. Once connectivity is restored, the data is synchronized with our servers and removed from local temporary storage.

User data is stored using Google Firebase Firestore cloud services.
Temporary unsynchronized records may be stored locally on your device until they are successfully uploaded.

Account information: Until account deletion
Group records: Until deleted by a group manager
Membership records: Until a user leaves or is removed from a group
Historical records: May be retained for group record-keeping purposes
Offline temporary data: Deleted automatically after synchronization
Users may permanently delete their account at any time from within the ChikiFund application by navigating to:
Profile → Delete Account
When an account is deleted:
The user's Firebase Authentication account is permanently removed.
The user's profile information is deleted.
The user is removed from all groups they belong to.
Associated personal account data is deleted from our systems.
Account deletion cannot be undone.
Users who manage one or more groups may be required to transfer ownership or delete those groups before their account can be deleted.
