Head Coach-Ms. Becca Bestul

​Bio: ​Head Coach Becca Bestul is a Chippewa Falls native, of the graduating class of 2000 from Chi-Hi. She was an All-Conference Basketball and Volleyball player her junior and senior seasons. After graduating from Chi-Hi, she went on to a successful career at UW-Eau Claire, where she was a member of two WIAC Conference championship teams, played in an NCAA Final Four, and was an Academic All-American and All-American. She graduated with honors from UWEC in 2005 with a degree in Biology Broadfield Education and a Coaching minor. She was inducted into the UWEC Athletic Hall of Fame in 2022.

After graduation, Bestul worked at Eau Claire North High School for 11 years, where she taught Environmental Science and Biology and coached a variety of sports (volleyball, basketball, track & field). From 2008-2015, she was an assistant basketball coach at UW-Eau Claire. In 2010, Bestul earned a Master's Degree in Natural Resources (Environmental Education) from UW-Stevens Point. Bestul has been coaching and teaching AP Biology, Biology, and Environmental Science at Chi-Hi since 2016.

Bestul is married to Chippewa Falls teacher and coach Mike Bestul, also a native of Chippewa Falls. They have two children (Zach - 2014, Rose -2017)  

Assistant Coach-Ms. Gretta Leyman

Bio: Coach Layman  is a 2006 Chi- Hi graduate.  She was part of the WIAA State appearance team in 2005 and Conference champs her junior and senior year. After  graduating from Chi-Hi, she went Mankato State University on a scholarship and won a national champion in 2008 -2009 season.  She transferred to UW- Stout Menomonie to be closer to family and finished her Bachelors degree in Science education ( double major: Broadfield Science and Biology, minor: Physics)  After graduation, Layman worked at Thorp High School for a year, where she taught several science courses and coached a variety of sports (volleyball, basketball, softball). Coach Layman then took a job at Rhinelander High school for 5 years teaching Physical Science , Physics, Biology and coached volleyball.  In 2016, Layman earned a Master's Degree in Teacher leadership from Silver Lake college. This is her first year coaching at the Varsity level in Chippewa Falls.  She taught at Chi-Hi for four years and  after ten years of teaching high school she decided to switch gears and teach elementary at Stanley-Boyd. She is really enjoying teaching the little's but still loves seeing her high school players. She is really looking forward to helping the varsity team this year.

JV Coach-Mrs. Lisa Anderson

Bio: Coach Anderson is from South Dakota.  She has been married to Travis Anderson for 17 years  they moved the day after there wedding to the greatest state- Wisconsin where they have lived in the Eau Claire- CHippewa area ever since.  The have two kids that attend school in the Chippewa Falls District.  She wanted to spend has much time with her children as she could so she became a stay at home and enjoys watching them play sports. She also loves staying fit and active but does like less intense activities like crafting. Basketball has been apart of her like in many aspects from playing in high school to mentoring her kids as they began to play more and more competitively. Coach Anderson has volunteered as a softball coach and have helped out with the Cardinal Flight youth program for the last 4-5 Years. She is looking forward to the season and excited to be apart of the Chippewa Falls women's basketball program. 

JV2 Coach- Mr. Dan Loomis

Bio: ​Coach Loomis has been coaching the JV2 level since  2016.  He is very passionate about trying to teach the fundamentals and always making it fun. Coach Loomis taught Science and Special Education in the Chippewa Falls district for 29 years. He is currently back teaching Biology and Earth &Space full at McDonnell Catholic school. He has coached middle school basketball, was the president of  the Cardinal Flight youth program for three years and coached his two daughters for 8 years. His wife teaches at Chippewa Falls middle school and he his two daughters  are  graduates of Chi-Hi, Qianna and Marais.
