The ChickChatt will meet Chattanooga's Tennessee Riverwalk in St. Elmo and the South Chickamauga Greenway at Camp Jordan and continue into Northwest Georgia with 20+ miles of additional trails.
Rail trails transform former railroad corridors into welcoming paths with gentle grades, broad curves and room to enjoy the outdoors away from traffic. They connect communities to nature and bring visitors to local businesses.
That’s the opportunity behind the ChickChatt Greenway. Beginning with the proposed TAG Line Rail Trail from St. Elmo through Flintstone to Chickamauga, we want to connect existing trails and parks to create a continuous 55-mile loop of urban greenways, back country paths, and rail trails. The ChickChatt would link ten municipalities only accessible today by road.
For residents: everyday recreation. For businesses: new customers.
For our region: a remarkable new way to connect.
We are the Friends of the ChickChatt Greenway: a coalition of neighbors, businesses, landowners, and leaders who want to see the ChickChatt realized.
