I have been working in childcare since 2013, when I started my journey in a group family childcare while expecting my oldest child, Theron. The program was a Waldorf inspired childcare.  I fell in love with the magic of Waldorf education.  This naturally progressed into an interest in outdoor education and the benefits of forest schools on development in early childhood.  When I learned I was expecting my second child, Rhiannon, I decided I needed to spread my wings and begin my own childcare journey.  In September of 2018, Chickadee Tree was born! 

While my original educational background was in nursing, I have invested countless hours in gaining knowledge of early childhood education and development.  Through trainings, continuing education, and a large helping of lived experience, I continue to develop skills and understanding to better serve the children I care for.
