The Northern Clans series takes place seven thousand years ago along the coastal rainforests of North America in the area we now know asl Alaska and Canada. Clans of indigenous people have lived along the coast of Alaska and Canada for thousands of years. They lived off the land and built complex societies centered around natural resources and family. The clans were divided into animal totems. Each clan had a Mo, or chief. The Northern Clans experienced years of war before they found balance. For several generations the Northern Clans enjoyed peace. Trade between the clans was common. Traders traveled the inner-coastal waters with long dugout canoes and smaller skin or bark-covered boats.
