I hope that you are excited because we are excited & blessed to have you. You are now starting your professional career, and that is something to be excited about and focused on.
The next step on your journey after paperwork is orientation. At orientation we will focus on Chick-fil-A Bellevue’s vision, mission, what makes us unique, and a few activities to get you started well!
You are on a path of growth. Growth requires that we get comfortable being uncomfortable. What you are about to embark upon is not easy and is not meant to be so.
We ask that you stretch yourself to personally learn and grow while doing your best here on the job. Most importantly, we ask that you CARE for your team as well as our guests. Our shared vision as a brand is to win the hearts of our community by being the world's most caring company! We are excited to have you as a part of our team to help us live out that vision.
Here at Chick-fil-A Bellevue, we do more than just sell chicken. We do life together.
Again, welcome to the Chick-fil-A Bellevue team. Whether you are a part of our team for seven months or seven years, we promise to treat you with honor, dignity, and respect, as you are a member of our Chick-fil-A family. We are so excited to have you here on the team and look forward to the moments ahead that you get to be a part of.
Welcome to orientation. Here you will learn about our location's culture, Chick-fil-A history, expectations, and goals. Please be sure to move through all four (4) sections, click on the down-facing arrows to see the information, and take the checkpoint quizzes. Even though this is a virtual orientation, your undivided attention and participation are required.

We are a family-owned business. We arrived in Bellevue from Warner Robins, GA, in October 2012 to help set up, hire, and train our new team. We opened a month later on November 1, 2012, and have been going strong!
You've more than likely met with Tom at your interview. He is your operator and owns this location. He's also my father-in-law, and almost the entire family works here.
We are very excited to be here! When we got word that we would own a Chick-fil-A, we gathered our family around the kitchen table and had a hard conversation. It needed to be an "all or nothing" sort of deal. We all said yes, so here we are, almost 13 years later, and we love what we do.
So what is it that we do? Why, we sell delicious chicken! But that is not the main thing that we do. Selling chicken is simply the vehicle, the tool; it provides us with the ability to do what we really do well, and that is serve our community.
Our main focus is community. Each one of us has our hand in the community outside of the store in some way, shape, or form. For example, Tom is a deacon in the Catholic Church. My husband, Thomas, is a certified pharmacy technician, and Matthew is a community canvasser and is working on his MBA.
My name is Jessica Deall and I am your training & standards director. I am very excited to have you come on board. I am front of house as well as back of house trained; but my proficiency lies in the kitchen..
I figure that I would share few fun facts about myself:
I am a college graduate (class of 2005) with a BA in Legal Assistant studies and a minor in criminal justice.
I am prior service USAF, an Army wife and mother. I am also a certified welder and fix a lot of things.
When I'm not doing all of these things, I stalk Winnie the Pooh. I love all things Winnie.
I enjoy horseback riding, Minecraft and Mario Kart. I also love setting up movie/game nights for team members as well so be on the lookout!
Our vision and purpose goes along witht e corporate purpose; but moreso on a more local level.
Our goal at Chick-fil-A Bellevue is to serve excellent food with warm hospitality. Creating excellent food requires commitment to the strictest food safety and quality standards as well as the “REMARK”able brand standards that founder Truett Cathy used to build Chick-fil-A. An environment of warm hospitality in our restaurant exists as a result of our amazing Chick-fil-A family. We are truly a family that takes care of and serves one another. Caring for our guest flows out of those hearts for service into our restaurant.”

Back of House Responsibilities (General)
Prepare, cook, assemble, and present food that meets Chick-fil-A standards.
Food prep of cold and hot fast food menu items.
Assist with all back of house stations including fries, breading, assembling, boards, and food prep.
Ensure food safety and accuracy
Communicate effectively withTeam Members
Honor and encourage others to follow the vision and values of the Restaurant
Multitask quickly, yet thoroughly, carefully and with a purpose
Be team-oriented, adaptable, dependable, with a strong work ethic
Work on their feet for several hours at a time
Stock BOH inventory as needed to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including food safety, appearance and sanitation guidelines.
In our kitchens, we focus on fresh and simple ingredients. And we always have. Since the beginning, we've served chicken that is whole breast meat, with no added fillers or hormones, and we bread it by hand in our restaurants. Produce is delivered fresh to our kitchens several times a week from a local company called Greenberg Fruit. Salads are chopped and prepared fresh throughout the day.

As a front of house Team Member, you will welcome & greet guests, take and prepare guest orders in either the front counter or drive-thru, maintain cleanliness in the counter and dining room, observe health and sanitation guidelines, and ensure each guest leaves with a smile! We are looking for friendly, enthusiastic people who enjoy serving guests and preparing food. We will teach you everything else you need to know! Successful Team Members will conduct themselves in a positive attitude and truthful character demonstrating required Core 4 service behaviors and 2nd mile service to every guest who visits our restaurant.
General Qualifications and Skills:
No experience required.
Strong guest service orientation with excellent communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a positive attitude under pressure.
Adaptable, dependable, and possess a strong work ethic.
Willingness to exceed expectations.
Able to lift up to 40 pounds and have confident money handling skills (front of house).

Section 4
Very simple, deliberate process:
Demonstration - the trainer will show you (demonstrate) how a task is performed.
Imitation - you will now copy (imitate) the task that the trainer just showed you.
Repetition - you will now repeat the steps of the task that you’ve been shown.
This is training at its absolute core. There are other parts to this as well such as giving feedback, making corrections, Sunday trainings, etc.
You should review any and all assigned Pathway assignments before starting your focus areas.
Your trainer should be using Pathway or print offs during training to ensure standards are followed.
Layout: very simple spreadsheet format. There is a animated image below that showcases the schedule's attributes.
The training schedule is sent out every Friday at 6:00PM.
It will arrive in your email as a PDF so please be on the lookout.
Any requests for time off or availability adjustments must submitted via this link no later than close of business on the Wednesday before the schedule comes out.
For example, if you need to take off June 20th, your request must be in no later than close of business Wednesday June 11.
