Our monthly meetings are broadcast live via YouTube. There may be a delay of 15-20 minutes. During the meeting, you may make comments or ask questions via YouTube and we will try our best to answer.

We strongly encourage you to attend our meetings in person if possible. There is ample free parking located in the parking garage under the library as well as an adjacent lot. Meetings last about two hours.

NEW SWAP MEET ADDED TO UPCOMING FAIRE!

A set of tables will be added to a section of the faire that will allow attendees to swap hardware and software as well as offer on-sight repairs and software solutions. The first hour of the faire, during faire setup, will be dedicated to this and this area may continue to be used throughout the faire as long as participants do not disturb faire events in any way. If this proves popular and does not disrupt the faire, we may expand this at later faires if attendance dictates.

Can I bring my system?

Yes but we strongly encourage advanced notification of this as we could assign you your own private table if space permits.

Can I sell anything?

The library location that is hosting our faire does not allow sales on the property. If we see this, we will have to ask you to stop. Nothing stops you from "finalizing" any monetary "swaps" off property :)

What does it mean by not disrupting the faire?

When official faire events are going on, we ask that the swap area remain quiet so not to disrupt the event in any way. You can continue swaps, repairs or software programming, just be quiet during events. Between events and during lunch, as well as the first hour during setup, you can, of course, carry on normally.

Can I bring my lunch and eat in the Swap Area?

No food is allowed in the library. If we see you eating, you will be asked to take it outside.

Why does the Chicago TI Group sell things and I cannot?

The Chicago TI Group is NOT allowed to sell anything but we are allowed to accept donations. This is why we do not charge admission but we strongly encourage membership donations as this allows us to continue hosting these faires in the future.
