I measure the general equilibrium effects of workers’ mobility across regions characterized by different productivity levels through the lens of a search and matching model with heterogeneous workers and firms estimated using administrative data.

We measure substantial gains in tax evasion recovery by improving the selection of audits with Machine Learning. We address the problem of selective labels without the need for randomized audits.

We document the existence of a market for intermediated tax evasion in which taxpayers who intend to evade taxation sort towards tolerant tax advisors, and tax advisors act as information hubs, gathering privileged information on the auditing policy.

We show that decentralizing collective bargaining agreements results in a concurrent decrease in the workers' wages and an increase in their probability of remaining employed.
