Chiara Bernardini

I am a postdoctoral researcher in Mathematics at the University of Rome Tor Vergata, under the mentorship of Prof. Gabriella Tarantello.

My research lies at the intersection of Geometric Analysis, Nonlinear PDEs, variational methods, and geometric aspects of curvature problems.

Before joining Tor Vergata, I was a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Trento, where I worked under the supervision of Prof. Lorenzo Mazzieri.

I obtained my PhD in Mathematics from the University of Padua in December 2023, and I received both my Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Mathematics from Alma Mater Studiorum - University of Bologna.

My research focuses in Geometric Analysis and Nonlinear Partial Differential Equations. I am interested in variational and geometric methods for elliptic problems arising from differential geometry, conformal geometry and mathematical physics.

In particular, during my PhD years, I carried out research on some problems related to prescribing curvature in Conformal Geometry, and I dealt with Mean-Field Games models with Choquard-type interaction.

I am also interested in overdetermined elliptic problems, in this direction, I use techniques that combine PDE methods with Riemannian geometry to obtain rigidity and classificarion results.
